Until now the Super League was only available on the lowly regarded Eurosports in Australia, and when shown it was often not on time , and had the last minutes sliced off. Plus the Catalans home games were not telecast.

Now Fox Sports, the more popular channel, will be showing all three Sky telecasts live. Many are looking forward to the opening encounter between St. Helens and Catalans on a Saturday morning at 7am, because it will give Aussie fans a chance to see the popular wizard Todd Carney in action again.

Buzzard Rothfield of the Daily Telegraph has advertised this development with a huge photo of Todd Carney, and noting the presence of several former NRL stars in SL, especially Matthew Bowen, Ashton Sims, Albert Kelly and Villiami Sione Tonga.

I enjoyed the eurosport coverage, fox have always screwed the UK coverage in the past... often showing games delayed by several days... and as for Catalan games? not many french or french heritage in the Aussie populous!! but I suppose that since they became the pseudo Australian team in the super league there may be a bit more interest.

The games are Live this time, the first two on Fox Sports 1.

Don't know, but would expect any to occur a few days before the first game. The Todd Carney debut will be a big selling point.

I hope the commitment from Fox is genuine.. as their performance in the past is not good.

Super League also returns to Sky Sport in New Zealand as well this season with Widnes v Wigan on Sky Sport 2 next Friday Morning.

Brilliant news! Having to watch the appalling, delayed coverage on Maori TV over the last few years was hell at best. I often used to stay up through the night or get up early to stream the Wigan game rather than wait for that show of a channel.
