| They are probably delaying the decision until the end of the season so that the finishing positions can be manipulated to suit their agenda.
OK. Maybe not but why do the RFL continually put themselves in a position where they are wide open to that sort of accusation, or at least suspicion.
They should have a set of rules in place, set in stone, before the start of each season and stick to them regardless of which clubs are involved.

| Ok, you are clearly not aware that it is NOT THE RFL's DECISION.
It's an independent panel and a resolution is expected before the end of the week.
At least, that's the current timescale

| Surely there has to be some parity in decisions and punishments?
2001 - Wakefield - Salary Cap Breach - 2 points
2003 - Halifax - Salary Cap Breach - 2 points
2003 - Hull - Salary Cap Breach - 2 points
2003 - St Helens - Salary Cap Breach - 2 points
2006 - Bradford - Salary Cap Breach - 2 points
2006 - Wigan - Salary Cap Breach - 2 points
2007 - Bradford - Salary Cap Breach - 2 points
2007 - Wigan - Salary Cap Breach - 4 points
2011 - Wakefield - Administration - 4 points
2011 - Crusaders - Administration - 4 points
2012 - Bradford - Administration - 6 points
2013 - Salford - Fielding Extra Man - 2 points
2014 - Bradford - Administration - 6 points
So maybe there's an argument to give 2 points back to bring the decision in line with previous offenders. Anything else is making a mockery of the system surely?

Or perhaps, each case should be judged on its own merits rather than have an arbitrary punishment handed down without any thought or consideration involved?

In which case Wigan should have been relegated for a deliberate breach in the cap (their second year in succession) to avoid relegation, not given a subsequent 4 point penalty. But it suited the RFL not too.
That the incumbants at Bradford are making the right noises means diddly squat. For mine relagation is the best thing that could happen, it means that clubs HAVE to keep their admin/finances in order or the potential is to lose their top tier status by given a hefty points deduction.
Not balancing the books is far more than just not being able to make enough money to pay the wages, it means you can have players/a squad on your books that you just can't afford (though may be under the SC) thus gaining an on field playing advantage.
The rules are there for a reason to discourage cheating and/or running a micturate poor business model

No, just forgot.
I'm a Salford fan, so 'conveniently' seems a little misplaced.

However, they didn't breach the cap that season. Just the "spirit" of the cap by renegotiating existing contracts.

The Spirit of the Cap, what does that mean?
I was under the impression that salaries from one season were delayed until the following year.
They found a loophole & ably abetted by St’s they went running to their lawyers, this is the RFL we’re talking about, you know, the RFL who failed to have it in writing about loan players in the C.C, letting Hull of the hook, on a technicality.
The quality of staff at Red Hall are not savvy enough to deal with some club owners

The same could be said about any police force in the world.
The rfl have a set of rules and the clubs will do everything in their power to bend, skip over and work around those rules (as they should, anyone sitting on a loophole but decide not to aren't showing enough determination) - the rfl can only be reactive to the solutions and workarounds people can think up... And anything that's proactive will escape the attention of the public anyway!

| As I keep saying, even ignoring the minus 6 we are still in the bottom two, so even then can you see us doing it? I'm one of the biggest optimists around, but even with the 6 I would be highly dubious and as we ain't getting nothing back the whole thing is surely just clutching at straws.
Sometimes I try to keep some positivity, but then I look at the spreadhseet

You're not kidding, I remember earlier in the season you were strutting your stuff on here, I remember you saying something to the effect of ''things are actually looking up for us now, thank you very much''.
Weeks later the club was in admin, 6 point deduction and staring down the barrel of relegation.
There's being an optimist, and just plain deluded.

| Statement seems to suggest Bulls gonna seek further legal advice. Absolute morons, just accept the decision, we've got no leg to stand on! We have to now earn them points back on the field.
