he made a comment when the score was 0-0 about hull kr having virtually no chance to compete with wigan, 25 minutes later the score is 4-10 and clarkey is very quiet.
It might just be me but I thought it was a very arrogant an disrespectful comment, hull kr, as are most teams, perfectly capable of competing with wigan, and they proved that, only 2 shocking calls got wigan back into the game.
I appreciate he his wigan through and through, but surely he should try and remain neutral when working for sky and not come out with stuff like this?

These are words used to describe many people.....but not phil clarke.

His comments were tremendously arrogant and his wigan bias shines through in his commentarys, every situation he twists into a positive for wigan.

His ''opinion'' just happens to be massively pro wigan, regardless of the situation.

Except he didn't actually say that. Biased he sure is, but he didn't say KR had no chance, what he said if they keep Wigan under 20 they have a great chance at winning and he was right, they did have a great chance and kept Wigan under 20 nearly all game.

I used to like Phil Clarke too; IMO he's just generally a little disillusioned with the sport in England, he's changed in the last 2 years, but maybe it's me.

The main problem is he talks avsolute garbage.

This might sound biased but i disagree i think it's Paul Cullen.

To the op, on paper Clarke is right though and i applaud for having tha balls to say what most were thinking.

If you had to bet your life on who would win even KR fans would have backed Wigan.

Notice how much he always bigs Saints up. If you was a newcomer to the sport you'd think he'd played for St Helens. You'll notice from now on.

Tbf to him, at least he knows the rules.

To be fair to Cullen, his punditry style has come on a long way since he started on Sky and I enjoy listening to his comments now.

Phil Clarke. Flying the Wigan flag on Sky Sports since 1999. What a guy. He balances out the anti-Wigan bias from Wire-Wiggy and Uncle Mike from Australia.

I don't think that Clarke is actually that biased, he builds his case on statistics and given the statistics Wigan often come out as he best team - it just seems that many others don't like this view and tag him with Wigan tinted glasses.

And then, look at Eddie and Stevo... is there anything that Saint's can do wrong without an excuse?
