While this is all very nice, is anyone aware of a Sky super league preview programme coming up ? I'm quite surprised that there hasn't been a team-by-team preparation programme helping to build the excitement for the weekend.

Or did I miss it ?

There's a 2012 Review on Sky Sports 4 tonight, that's repeated through the week but no preview

I'd be absolutely made up with 11th or above

Can't see Wigan being a force this season, not even 4th yet I do see my Giants having a better year with a more dominating pack.

I think the Broncos may surprise a few people this year.

I second that, if they can stay injury free and play the way they did at the back end of last year...... they may surprise a few teams

I think the Hull teams will have good years, both have recruited well.

I predict 27 rounds of meaningless low-intensity SL fixtures which shall reward mediocrity throughout. This shall then be followed by 2 rounds of low-intensity play-off fixtures which shall eliminate all those teams who were never genuine SL contenders from the outset. The highest ranked team out of Warrington, Saints, Leeds and Wigan shall then select the lowest ranked team out of Warrington, Saints, Leeds and Wigan at the cringeworthy club call gimmick and the SL season shall then begin in earnest.

Oh, and Leeds will probably finish 5th again during the meaningless regular season.

So your glass isn't so much "half-empty", but more "smashed to tiny fragments" ?

I'm not such a pessimist and think there'll be 27 rounds of great SL fixtures with some really high-intensity games where quality players and new exciting talent will shine through.

My glass is definitely half full! And I can't wait for the season to start...

Whilst I can't comment on the intensity, it's stupid to suggest they are "meaningless".

If they were trully meaningless, then it would be possible to lose all 27 and still win the Grand Final. Now, as soon as a team manages to do this, then I will happily agree you. Until then, you're spouting nonsense!
