| From what I have seen got to be Ryan Hall nailed on for one spot pending injury. Again who knows who will pop up and challenge for a spot but from this year HALL and CHARNLEY the wingers with briscoe behind both

| Hall is probably the biggest cert in the country.
As for the other spot Charnley looks to be the favourite at the moment. I think his advantage over Briscoe is his physical presence. He's a big, athletic lad who I'd back to get the ball over the line in tight situations, a bit like Ryan Hall does.
I like Briscoe but he's a little lightweight IMO. He is a dangerous player from deep but isn't in the class of Hall or Charnley when it comes to those tight situations on the oppositions line.
Hardaker is a shout as well but would be 4th choice at the moment.

| I went for Hall and Hardaker but i also think Leroy Cudjoe would be a good winger, he has the size and pace.

| As I say above hall is a cert for the 5 spot, which briscoe plays. In the two spot I picked charnley from what I have seen. Also Watkins is looking more and more like a certainty for the 3 spot. (Pending injury) and there seems to be a good partnership starting with the two of them.
Despite the rivalry of the supporters and the teams on the pitch I have been impressed with the bonding of the players, especially the Wigan and Leeds players together.
How it should be playing as a team. Also the competition hasn't been that challenging but I have also been fairly impressed with us (as fans) getting behind them and not as much club team biases as usual..

| Hall on the left, Charnley on the right for me. I've liked how Charnley and Watkins have been combining.
If one gets injured then Briscoe or Hardaker depending on how many squad places are available.

| At this point in time Charnley and Hall for me. I wouldn't consider the likes of Cudjoe or Hardaker unless they've had recent game time on the wing. Briscoe I'm less familiar with; I don't recall seeing him play a stormer but he seems very highly regarded by those who watch him regularly.

Should have included Ryan Atkins. He's a poop centre but playing wing outside a good centre could see him shine.

| Hall and Charnley are defiantly the two front runners, both great players.
Can't offer much criticism for either player, only thing that i could highlight is that i could see Charnley getting complacent, it could only be a one off but he started with the tomkins of old esque act in the game, pushing the markers after every tackle, squaring up to players, running his mouth off etc.
He is a great player and dosent need to start acting the big man, maybe he has seen Sam as the face of RL and wants some of the attention. Im sure everybody would admit Tomkins is the face of RL because he is the best player in league, not because he winds opposition players up. As i say i'm a fan of Charnley but all i could think about is how much of an idiot he looked.

| Hall is miles ahead, Charnley has coime pretty good but at the weekend twice he was shown the line and both times he didn't trust his pace, bottled it and cut inside. That's France, if he's not confident against them then when will he be?

| Hall is guaranteed a start, so it's between Charnley and Briscoe for the other wing spot.
I like the balance of having Hall/Reed and Charnley/Watkins, so I'd go for those two currently.

| I have gome for Hall and Briscoe. I like Charnley and would have any two from three but for me Briscoe edges it because he is stronger bringing the ball out of his 20m than Charnley (and probably Hall too) and in the really big games that is just as important as finishing which all three are good at

| I've gone for Hall and Briscoe. Briscoe is better than Charnley at returning the ball and is more likely imo to come up with a match winning play. Charnley's try scoring record is impressive, but look at the players he has around him, he is bound to score alot. I'm not convinced yet that he is a proper international class player and not just another decent winger who gets found out when he stops getting passes on a plate.
Just to throw another name out there, keep an eye on Tom Lineham over the next couple of years. 2013 will come too soon, but I would be suprised if he never plays for England. He is alot like Briscoe with his strength and evasiveness, but he is like lightning and at 6'4 is a genuine aerial threat too.

| Hall and Charnley for me, but wouldn't complain if Briscoe was in. Having watched Hardaker he'd be a damn good backup for the wing, as passing aside he's a very natural footballer with the sort of innate positional sense that good players have.

| Just to show how much our choices of backs have improved..
in the last World Cup, we had:
A slow, past his best Paul Wellens
The error-prone Mark Calderwood, now gracing the touchline at Workington Town
The ever erratic Ade Gardner
A past his best Martin Gleeson
A veteran Keith Senior
Lee Smith... what happened to him
Paul Sykes!!! Now playing for Wakey at... stand off
Lets say our options have improved a little...!

Briscoe biggest asset is his strength, so i am not sure where you get being lightweight from?
Hall has earned his spot after performances for England, Briscoe and Charnley is close, it looks like Charnely has the advantage at the moment, but he does have the advantage of playing in a better club side, where you are more likely to look better. In Briscoe defence, some of the trys he scores, neither of the other two are capable of IMO.
As others have said I would be happy to have any of the three on the wing for England, good position to be in.

i know hull fans would like to see there man on the wing but this arguement that only briscoe can break tackles and go the full length is nonesense, both hall and charnley have done it plenty of times just of the top of my head josh went the full length in the second to last game at the DW beating 4 defenders on hes way, also warrington in the challenge cup is another.
personally i think charnley is more steady in the air, under a high ball, does more when returning kicks hes allways dragging in more than 2 tacklers and find hes front and i think hes probably the quickest in the england camp. but this is just my opinion and i cant really complain if briscoe gets picked infront of charnley its hardly as if hes a bad winger is it.

Yes, he was so poor that he only scored 25 tries last season.

Hopefully.
At the moment he and Jason Crookes are fighting for the right wing. Crookes might get the nod to start with just because of his extra experience, but as the season goes on I expect Lineham to become first choice.

| I saw Briscoe play for England in the last four nations and he was pretty bad under a high ball, gifting the Aussies a try by dropping a ball on his own try line when under no pressure. With Tomkins similalrly suspect under a high ball, it would be crazy to play them both at the same time unless Briscoe has improved a lot in that area.
