Could we put something together along the same lines as this?

I think it would be of great help to existing, and more importantly new rugby league fans.
We could rob (borrow) info for clubs that play at football grounds and a bit of rewording here and there along with photographs from fans of various clubs and those visiting and I reckon we could get a pretty decent site up and running. Maybe a section here or a sticky at the top of each clubs forum page might be an idea.
It has just dawned on me that I haven't visited some of the grounds I'll be going to to see Scorpions this season and a bit of prior info about pubs, eateries and local things to see and do would be useful. |

Like I said I'd give him a few photographs of grounds and feedback on local pubs, restaurants etc.
I think we could get a better site than the football one if we had enough on board.

I had a small A5 size paper booklet with directions to all the grounds and a brief paragraph on the town/city etc. Can't remember where I got it from but it came in useful. Anyone remember them?

I've got a book somewhere along those lines that was probably published about 10 years ago that used to come in handy. Pre match pubs, parking etc would be great for some places though so definitely some mileage in the idea.

Think the one I had was nearer to 25 - 30 years ago, think it was called Slalom Lager Guide to the Grounds, it was a great booklet in fact I get lost more using the Sat Nav.

Put it together in a rush....I have opened it up, so feel free to add your own comments and/or grounds that I have missed out......
QYPe is actually not a bad site...I did a 6 month stint there in 2008 sorting out their revenue generation streams...good group and the phone ap is spot on if you're out and about in a strange town....real reviews writen by real punters......all good! |
