Dont know if it's been mentioned on here before, but Ben Barbas try at the weekend against Newcastle was absolutley jawdropping.

Brett Hodgeson did more in the NRL than he has done and yet never got near 100 tries.

As a Doggies fan you never get surprised at what Barba can do in attack. The guys a freak. As for the try it looked different from all the angles. I think BotD should have been the call because he did look to be touching the ball from that front on angle.

I notice no one has mentioned Austin Buchanan's effort on Thursday night but if it was Inglis or Hodges then I'm sure it would be raved about.

I was really suprised when I got in work on friday morning and all my workmates who were football fans were talking about it! I think sky sports news had shown it a few times.

Cracking try, looks a good player too, as does James Craven. I was really impressed by him on thursday.

Apart from the shocking play the ball that flew past the dummy half and then the loose pass that went to ground, it was a great move. Oh yes, and Barba dropped it. Nice effort but I have to say I was expecting something a little better when I searched for “Miracle try''

david meade's try was more down to luck than skill...


if he was a yard quicker he'd have caught it on the full....as we all know you should never let a RL ball bounce..he just stuck out a paw and it stuck....he did well from that point on though it still needed finishing..


i'd have jamie fosters wrong the back try against leeds above meade's try though...fosters try was 100% skill all of his own making......meade's had luck involved

I disagree, you could equally argue that Meli's pass was behind the man forcing Foster to react or that the kick to Meade was a yard too deep.

What David Meade did was 100% intentional given that he reacted to the fact the ball was out of reach on the full, he knew exactly where the touchline was and did the only thing possible if he was going to retrieve the situation and score a try.

It was amazing skill, athleticism, awareness and execution!
