I've made a point that Salford made a mistake years ago sacking Karl Harrison. Who would you prefer to have now?

If the players wont do the WORK they are paid to do, and it's obvious they are not, somehow people don't want to sack them!!!

However if it's not DIRECTLY involved with the game, they do!!!!

I cannot understand why Noble is not in the frame a good coach who whilst not being able to turn the current Salford team into top 6 material would certainly get them into the playoffs and would stop them being whipping boys

McRae comes across to me as a guy that doesn't seem to be able to motivate people.

Surely there would have to be a young English coach over there itching for a crack at the big time?

How much would it cost Salford to pay him out so they can get some fresh blood in?

Is McRae a close friend of steve simms? I only ask as I think Salford have neede a new coach for a while, McRAe was great with the Saints, but seems to have slipped eversince. Noble would be a brilliant replacement.

I hope Saford have a good season and this is only a setback, it would be great to see them playing to full houses in the new Stadium, but results will determine that i guess

Defensively Salford dont have a clue.

On paper they have some good players and should be competitive against Saints, however they were utterly shambolic.

Getting in Noble would be a good move as he is a far better coach than Mcrae, who lets be honest got sacked from Saints after they finished 7th in the league despite being packed with stars. He also was sacked from his Souths job after they failed to offer anything in the NRL. Souths have never looked back.

I think Salford, though especially Hull with the hopeless Agar are in danger of vastly underperforming.

Don't know how he went at saints so I can't say anything, but I agree 100% about Souths.

Before he coached in England he was an assistant at the raiders in Canberra, the raiders have been crap since the SL war in 1996.

I like Salford a lot, but they need to get rid of the dead wood, and the dead wood is the coach.

You're right, we all love Salford. I love the place, accent, stadium and team.

I don't really understand why they got rid of Harrison. Yeah, they had a few bad results after doing so well, but it didn't make him a failure.

They can have the inept idiot we have in Agar.

Yes the players do need to take some of the blame but Agars selections and bench policy are baffling at times...he is scared for the players to be expansive.....over coaches got the sack for a lot less and had a better win ratio than agar.

It's the coaches job to get the best out of the players.

If someone like Richard Agar was in charge of the Kangaroos, England would stuff them.

It's up to everybody everywhere in every walk of life to get the best out of themselves. It doesn't mean they can do it by themselves.

You're absolutely right Wellsy, NZ showed what happens when they get a coach who can make them play to their potential and make them believe.

Even if you don't have a team capable of razzle dazzle footy, you can instill in them pride about their defense, this means they'll be a damn hard team to beat whenever they play even though they aren't in the same ballpark compared to the opposition in regards to attack.

Hull should be a top side with their players and Salford could be a middle range club this year without leaking 50 points a match.

If the coach don't believe, how does anyone expect the players too?

Harrison was great for us but that period from June to his sacking still gives me shivers: once Dunnemann was injured/gone we were in decline.
McRae ... well I'll say it to his face, not on here.

Its down to the coach to put players in the correct position,and come up with some sort of positive tactic.Agar ,unfortunatly seems incapable of either.Can`t speak for Bomber,as I don`t watch Salford on a regular basis.

According to Andy Wilson in the Guardian one player has commented that Salford have "signed some lemons" this close season. Wilson obviously points out Feka as one. Any idea who the others are? Bailey's a bit biscuit boned and is steady at best really but who else?
