The anthem at the AFL Grand Final was pretty dire as well; two middle aged blokes with acoustic guitars mumbling a soft folk rendition into the microphones. Hardly the rousing, emotional curtain raiser you want at the biggest game of the sport's season.

Not into Bon Jovi much, but chicks are and they are the ones that decide if little Johnny can play the game, well done NRL.

To be fair, Australia get a lot right in Rugby League, but I don't think anthems and ceremonies are their forte. Remember the World Cup opening ceremony/Australia film trailer!
