In all seriousness the RFL have email blurbed me with a link to some "exclusive" hotel room offers. You could try the Super League website, im sure they will be on their somewhere.

We stayed in Bristol and commuted over by train when we were down Wales.

If Cardiff's too expensive try Newport and commute on the train as the Millennium Stadium is a few hundred yards from Cardiff Central station and the trains are very frequent.

Staying in Llantwit Major myself. Got some family down there so fairly easy to commute between there and Cardiff!

Checkout the Travelodge sale which starts at 6am on the 29th December. I try to prebook so we can stay after various Quins maway matches - the delights of St Helens, Hull (South Cave) and Wooley Edge int he past. Perhaps we will ahve Widnes on the 11th March to look forwards to. At £9 not much to loose if we decide not to go. Beats the 4 hour drive back to SE London late on Friday night/Saturday morning.

Have reserved a £51 Premier Inn room up towards Merthyr at the moment and perhaps train it in.

As above, Travelodge sale will be worth a look next week - you'll probably not find anything cheap, or even available, in central Cardiff but we booked one somewhere near Chepstow, I think, for the Saturday night of Magic Weekend - £9 or £12 in the last sale IIRC. Will park up there on Saturday morning and get the train into Cardiff for the day. There's Travelodges in a bunch of other locations that aren't too far away from Cardiff if you're not dead set on spending the night in the city itself.

Will also be keeping an eye out for overnighters for a couple of other games through the season when the cheap rooms go on.

There are a few hotels just off the main dual carriageway heading into the city centre (A4icon_cool.gif, if you want to avoid the town centre
Travelodge Llanedeyrn (Right next to a Harvester for those who want a feed)
Park Inn Cardiff North (Right at the bottom of my road, and 2 mins from bus stop)
& Campanile Cardiff (Right near bus stop too)

My son is at Cardiff university and his digs, which are 5 star, are right next to the Millenium stadium.

All the nice 4* hotels are either full or your looking at £150+ for the saturday. Sunday you can look at 4* for under £100 if you look around.

Are the weekend tickets unreserved? Can you get half price tickets for season ticket holders through the rfl?

not a clue but it's got to be used by friday 31st dec 2010. well that's what it says on fc ticket and weekend ticket for £17.50
