Just a thought I had whilst watching KR and the pie-munchers

It's common knowledge that tackling someone who has leapt to catch a ball from a kick while they are still in the air is a no-no. Seeing little Lulu doing his skips in the hope of catching some hapless defender out got me thinking. If someone where to tackle him mid-skip, is that deemed a tackle in mid-air?

Jake Websters try got me thinking....they said his ball carrying arm did not hit the floor yet he had the ball in BOTH hands one of which hit the floor

does the argue with the ref get sent back an extra 10 yards rule still exist ?

Not really as his arms momentum never stopped until the ball was down. God knows why he went to the screen though. Its not like he could have got closer himself

Doesnt matter. As long as he can place the ball down without his arm leaving the surface he is ok.

Then why do they insist on SKY once the ball carrying arm hits the floor the tackle is complete?

Sorry, the answer is no as he isnt really in a dangerous position while skipping plus he is aware he may get hit. When you leap a metre or so in the air and all your focus is on catching a ball coming towards you then it becomes dangerous.

Anyway, its when the arm hits the ground and momentum stops.
