Stevo mentioned they were coming back in his bit in the League Express, saying KK would have been back within a week or so, but not here yet.

He was a highly paid director with HBOS, it doesn't take a genious to see that maybe he isn't quite so secure these days

Regardless of what his position actually is, that's how he describes himself. The reason he didn't apply to go full time was because he wouldn't take the cut in his salary. The reason he left the RFL was because he made an huge blunder during an NL match and he didn't like it being pointed out to him. The man's arrogant and a bully and our game is far better without him The fact is he will not be coming back. Some people shouldn't believe all they hear or read.

There's still an unfilled vacancy. Six FT refs last year + 1 Thierry Alibert being appointed this year gave us the 7 needed: then 'Ash' upping sticks for Ockerland = 1 vacancy.

Probably so but only because of the dressing down he received as a result of the absolute b***s up he made during the Rochdale v Oldham game when he allowed a 2 on 1 strip not only to go unpunished but a try was scored as a result. He can't take the criticism. The game is far better without him and we are retaining more young refs without him.

Not heard too much about the Shayne Hayne story but I am lead to believe that Jamie Leahy is favourite to get the final FT position.

He is coming back as coach and development officer for refs at the RFL.It is in todays RL papers. I couldn't be bothered trailing through this thread to see if anyone had posted about it. If it has already been discussed then - sorry.
