if the swans broke the salary cap nobody in sydney would care, let alone make it globally

any other sport wouldve tried to protect an expansion club

For the most part the punishment was swift and fair. His decision to not let them get under the cap this year and actually continue to play meaningful fixtures is a joke and I have yet to hear one "expert" agree it was a good decision.

Looks like Melbourne residents will have to go back and follow their international game of AFL (oh sorry - I mean a few states in Australia as nobody else in the world plays aerial ping pong!! Most other sports Rugby League, Union, Soccer, Cricket, Tennis etc are played worldwide, but AFL is really played in this little patch of land called Victoria. Have fun Melburians...

tonights game should be a cracker..

the only problem in lettting them play for points is that they would still make the eight quite easily , they could then go on and win it after cheating the cap in the first few games.
