Terrible shame for the game but Melbourne have been docked 2 premierships over salary cap breaches.

Waldron likely to face jail time rather than running a union side.

They fully deserve it,cheating salary cap scum they're.

This should get some attention for the game in AFL land...

They say there is no such thing as bad press, but in this instance that statement is definately wrong.

So does that mean if they win next week they won't get the ponts?

As I understand it, they will finish on 0 points for 2010, irrespective of results.

Not exactly a boon for Storm fans to fork out for the remainder of the year; especially at a new ground.

There'll be a massive offloading of playing staff to get below the cap for next year, makes you wonder how many other clubs both in oz and over here are employing similar tactics and may be looking over their shoulder.

DIsagree with 50% of that.

Terrible news for Storm but very good news for RL and the other NRL teams who are part of a fair system to allow a level playing field for all clubs. That is what will benefit the game.







It is a pity the RFL do not have as much cojones over here. If teams know that something like this will happen then that would stop the cheating.

I would also go further to the point that if cheating came out 20 years afterwards that all records of the cheating team are expunged from the record books.

The other angle you could put on this is how were they able to get away with it for so long?

Whilst the punishment is sufficient, the fact that the breach was allowed to happen and for over such a period of time is surely worrying for our game?

A very brave move by the Aussies, I wonder if the RFL would have been upto it if they had found a top British club doing the same?

Sends out all the right messages - If you cheat we will not only get you but punish you severely.

It will be interesting to see what happens with the new blood tests.

The NRL continues to show it has more balls than any other sporting organisation on the planet.

This is a very brave decision in the best interests of rugby league.

Well done the NRL. That is an enormous, persistent and deliberately underhand breach and has been dealt with well in my opinion.

rumours theyve been tapping up other clubs' best youth players by offereing their families cars and houses too. Also they are investigating their medical team for alleged use of false urine samples submitted from their players.

As a RL fan,It's a freaking sad day for our game...Even though I hate them for what they have done we still need RL in Melbourne.


But now It looks very slim....
