I enjoyed the game, and while a lot of their play was naive, and several of the tries were a bit men against boys, when London had the ball they attacked with pace and urgency, and with a bit of last tackle steadiness could have scored a few more tries. And got over a couple of times but unable to touch down.

Wasn't ever a game they were going to do any other than lose heavily, but it was an encouraging performance and a very watchable game.

Understrength team struggles to cope in the league it's in. Hardly a first, just let nature take its course. And was London's performance worse than some of the dross that, say, catalans have served up this season? At least they didn't throw the towel in and played with spirit throughout.

Seen a lot worse teams than London in the SL era, depending on Sunday's result, they could still finish above Bradford and maintain there record of never finishing bottom.

Going by the requirement to be dumped off into the Championship after a few games maybe as per 2006 we could have dumped the Goons into Divison one, as after 10 games they were bottom with 2 points and had just been battered by London that week & by Wakey the week previous who both were only just above them at the time of the games, certain Div 1 fodder by all accounts.
It was clear from the beginning of that season they were no-hopers and going to get relegated, only through deliberate & massive cheating did they survive.



Why do fans of so-called bigger clubs (YES, that's you dubairl!!) always come out with such bull-shIt, RL would have been a far better place with Wigan spending a season or two in the lower division, we should have let you loose after any round from 5 onwards really but you know what, you were in the league and the rules can't just be made up to suit some vestige of your logic because you don't like that a team is getting a beating every week..At least London have an excuse, you were just gutless no-hopers..

I did not take the suggestion seriously. Even when he said he was being serious.

There is an arguement for not putting them on TV, but most of the TV fixtures where picked pre-season and they have to show some of their games.

There is always the odd person who wants a rule change mid-season, but I just take them to be either fishing or mad.

As a kiwi living in London I'd love it if there was a decent RL team to go and watch on a regular basis. However the sort of garbage the London Broncos serve up certainly isn't going to have me heading up the Jubilee Line to part with my hard earned beer vouchers to go and sit in an echoing three quarter empty stadium in Canons park to watch a park footy team cop a flogging every weekend anytime soon....and looking at the crowds they get it seems most people think the same way.

I watched the Leeds v London game last night and I can honestly say I'd never heard of more than 2 of the London players.

What about going the other way & trying to get Sky to show all their homes games on delayed transmission like Catalans? The increased media exposure would be worth far more to London than the handful it would probably take off the gate.
