| Following on from the fattest players jhow about the fastest?
I'll start off with Berwyn Jones, who was just unbelievable for sheer pace, even though we got him well after his youth and Brimah Kebbie who was definitely related to a whippet..

| Phil Ford was very quick. He could score from anywhere on the field and never seemed to tie up when he went long distances.

| Dave Redfearn could motor a bit and so could Lionel Williamson who after he left us went on to be an Aussie test player. I remember him sprinting from the other wing to fell the great Billy Boston in full flight during a cup game at Odsal about 1965/6.

| He never seemed to be running all that quick didn't Caro but he obviously was.
Other quick players we've had: Ellery Hanley, Paul Newlove, Robbie Paul, Lesley Vainikolo.

| I always thought Caro didn't get a fair go at Bulls. With a good centre playing inside him I think he could have scored a lot of trys.

He was unlucky to come in when we were turning players over massively. Three changes of coach in three years, two administrations etc. Not the environment for playing a settled side.

| Richard Francis was pretty quick I seem to remember, he just struggled catching it!
Brimah Kebbie too (he's worth a mention simply for the airplane!)

I have a few friends that are bull supporters and they referred to Caro as the fastest man in rugby league, I think he was one season.

Richard Francis lives in Qatar now. He's done well for himself since retiring from RL.
Always remember programmes saying he was "the fastest player on Northern's books". There's a video doing the rounds on you tube of us losing to Leeds in the Yorkshire Cup in 1988 (it's the game when Medley came on for Leeds and turned the match in the last 20mins) and Francis scores a super try for us just before half time. Harry Pinner puts Neil Roebuck through a gap who then draws the fullback and send Francis away who outpaces the Leeds cover.

| I think some players are rapid over a short space and then fade. For me it seemed Mullaney came into this bracket. Don’t think we got to see Mullaney in full flow!
Keiran Moss was another. Wish we had him now!
Henry had some pace too. Loved that try against Saints where Nickle nearly ran him down.
EDIT - Henry Paul that is. Not that useless pile of garbage that was Adam Henry.
