Ok, during the last rounds fixtures I announced that there would be surprise announcement or twist to this years league... so here it is.

Following the completition of the regular Super League season the Top 12 predictors in the league will enter the Super League Predictions Play-Offs!!!

As with the normal Super League, the predictor who is top of the table will be officially made Minor Premier but the overall winner of the league will be settled through a series of head-to-head rounds based on predictions from the Super League and Championship Play-Offs.

Predictions will be made as normal but now with the aim of scoring more points than your opponent. The winner will be the predictor with the most points for that particular round. As sergei would say... simples!!!

The format of the Play-Offs will be as follows:

Week One
G1 - 1st vs 4th
G2 - 2nd vs 3rd
G3 - 5th vs 12th (Loser eliminated)
G4 - 6th vs 11th (Loser eliminated)
G5 - 7th vs 10th (Loser eliminated)
G6 - 8th vs 9th (Loser eliminated)

Week Two
G7 - Winner G1 vs Lowest placed winner of G3-G6
G8 - Winner G2 vs 2nd Lowest placed winner of G3-G6
G9 - Loser G2 vs 3rd Lowest placed winner of G3-G6
G10 - Loser G1 vs 4th Lowest placed winner of G3-G6

Week Three - SEMI FINALS
G11 - Winner G7 vs Winner G9
G12 - Winner G8 vs Winner G10

Week Four - GRAND FINAL
G13 - Winner G11 vs Winner G12

At present the teams currently making the top 12 are:

There are however quite a number of teams outside the play-off positions who could quickly catch up so all is not lost, so keep on predicting!!!

Good idea ! Does the regular winner still get a hub cap ?

This is a great concept, but I'm sure I and others can think of several improvements. Love the hubcap one.

The first (and obvious) one is that for whoever finishes in bottom place, there should be automatic relegation to substandard.com (although of course no question of any promotion, automatic or otherwise).

I also suggest that the Final be held at a neutral venue, such as the Fighting Cock.

Fighting talk but you should note that those in the top 4 will get a second chance in week 2, albeit against a tougher opponent.

Is there a tiebreaker if in case of same score ?

The person whos posts their prwedictions first gets to keep the predictions, ie your opponent cannot predict the exact same results.

Good idea ! Tigertot will always be at a disadvantage as he's a last minute poster.

There is always the possibilty of draws occuring so the tiebreaker will remain for the play-offs.

A pretty effective policy by the looks of it.
