Would have thought Bulls should have warned fans attending Magic Weekend that NO flasks,bottles,cans or other portable containers allowed in Stadium; also Spectators are not allowed to take their own food or drink onto Stadium Premises. Suppose this is what you get when hard up Sheiks need money to pay their footballers!

It said that at some of the other stadia where the magic weekend games have been, but we have been let in with water bottles and food.

The Regs were on Rhinos site for benefit of Supporters going this weekend, so its fair to assume they apply is it not. Perhaps our Club can clarify situation.

Can you take your own food and water into Odsal?

Have contacted Etihad Stadium and RFL Ticketing who both confirm that speccies cannot take their own food and drink into Stadium.RFL suggest leaving items in car and getting passouts to return to car.
Will miss having my comforting flask of coffee nestling beside me, as it does at Odsal

Not sure what you mean but in the last year have had picnic at Lords Test Match, plus several visits to Emirates Stadium. No problems at all taking the stuff in, and eating/drinking it. Why is it a problem at Etihed?

I got the distinct impression that RFL are not interested in any problems thrown up by the Ground Regulations. When I pointed out that other Grounds allowed bags,food,drink etc the spokesperson suggested I was putting myself at risk of being blown up by terrorists on such premises.

One of the by-products of the society of mis-trust we are creating. That & the ground wanting to make mega bucks out of having to buy their crap.

Dammit there goes my plan for disguising 2 tonnes of fertiliser and peroxide as a flask of bovril.

Cardiff & Murrayfield at least had a rugby perspective on food& drink. It's going to be hot. I would hope there'll be a common sense approach to sun cream bottles & sprays.

I'm hoping that too. Free drinking water inside the stadium should be available too.

Am at stadium and doesn't seem to be that strict. We got let in with ribena cartons and seeing plenty of others eating and drinking their own stuff. Main check was when going thru turnstiles rather than the fanzone area and even then stewards said they didn't really know what was and wasn't allowed!! Feel free to ask any other questions.

had a cracking day - thought the whole set up was excellent inside the stadium and with the big screens outside too.
so much better than cardiff last year - but 40 degrees warmer always helps!!
