I've gone for 9th. It's an improvement on last year and it's the minimum I expect.

I've gone 9th too. We'll leave ourselves with too much to do at the back end of the season, and will probably end up relying on results of other games which won't go our way. Similar to a few seasons ago where we picked up a great win at Hull only for Saints to go and balls it up at home to Catalans.

6th

Disregarding friendlies as they mean nothing, believe we will be severely underestimated and once returning to fully fit squad (hopefully sooner rather than later) slowly begin our climb up the league.

7th, wobbly start to season good 2nd half. defence shows no sign yet of being good enough for any higher

6th for me - will be a few teams in the same region but we're due some luck and decent results!

Anywhere above Leeds should be the minimum expectation



Seriously though 7th I rekon. With Hull KR/FC just behind us because I predict they will have bad injury problems and they have weaker squads than us.

A clear picture is emerging of the low expectations we now have. It would take very little this season for Potter to leave the majority of fans happy, then.

9th for me. I think the team is capable of finishing 7th or 8th, but I think we'll most likely just miss out.

Think top 8 is an absolute must this year. Anything less will be a nail in the coffin IMO.

Personally i'm optimistic and think 7th would be a good finish considering the garbage we've seen over the last 3 years!!!

10th. I think that a number of our players are too used to being losers and this will cost us against "weaker" sides though we'll raise our game a few times to spring a few shocks. We hav improved in the halfbacks and backs but the pack is weaker.

The key for us to improve is to shake off the inconsistency and the tendency to give up mentally at times. I like to see us improve on last season by not getting hammered by the likes of Salford or giving up before we even began versus Wire.

Don't agree at all. The Hull game told me 10th.

My pre-season optimism has gone after the hiding given out by Hull. That game leads me to think that we are still too weak in the forwards and our injury woes have started early. We can’t afford to have a poor start this year and I can honestly see us potentially not winning a home game until round 8 when we play Salford. By that time confidence may well be broken and we’re in a scrap to keep touch with 8th place similarly to last year.

I’m actually quite worried about our home run of Catalan, Wigan, Warrington, St. Helens as this could put a huge dent in home attendances if we get turned over spectacularly.

Yes, we look better as a squad, but as Bullseye points out – there is still the “losing / failure” mentality around the place and I do honestly believe that we will do well to hit the top 8. OK, we might get a good run of results and other teams may struggle injuries wise, but we’ve seen that quite a few of our players are regularly out for periods of time meaning we lose that key consistency…..Walker, Kearney, Langley etc…..

10th for my money, (hoping for a major surprise and 6th place)

8th for me. It will be a hard season and i think we will float round the 8 for most of the season but i reckon we can secure our place in the 8 and return to the playoffs!

I think we're too weak up front to make any serious impact but with greater consistency than previous years we could scrape the play offs. Regardless though, I have a feeling it's going to be a more enjoyable season.

We have a top 6 team of players but taking the injuries we always seem to get into account i think it'll be between the bulls, cas and hull for 8th

1ST without a doubt, anybody from any other club who thinks not is clearly deluded.

I'll be optimistic and say 7th. After the last few seasons I just want to see some signs of recovery. We'll need some luck with injuries though.
