I for one thought Herbert and Ah Van had protential and perhaps if they wern't overseas we would see them resigned. However I am glad we are in talks with Royston and Ainsclough, both good players with protential and I think Walker deservers another year, won't be on a large wage and has just been unlucky. Walker is the kind of player you want at a club, hardworking and good skill set.

Wouldn't normally bump my own post but so many people are asking about Walker, Ainy and Royston and their contracts.

I'd sign Ainy and Royston up straight away. Tough one with Walker, but we can't afford the risk for another year imo.

Ah Van showed promise in the 1st half of the season, but i'll be happy to see him leave now. Herbert isn't worth a quota spot and we've already recruited half backs.

After the Wire game thank god both are going. Herbert was improving but is still an average half. Ah Van well don't get me started.

I feel a bit stupid because I have backed Ah van all season but have to agree he has not been showing anything to suggest an extension in recent weeks. BUT to be fair on the guy I think there might be more to the story- remember he has come over here and left all his family at home right?? cant be easy for any1 maybe its just not worked out for both parties. I would wish him well as he will be leaving me with some good memories- Cardiff full length try, quite a good goal kicking stike and a few more good tries.

Would love to see Royston re-signed and played the next few weeks. Ainy and walker I believe if can stay fit will be good for the team. only time will tell....

Was clear as day Herbert wasnt good enough in pre season.

I'd try and keep Ainscough and Royston.

I feel for Walker but I'd probably have to say he's just too much of a risk for a FT contract. Maybe offer a contract based on him keeping his fitness and get him involved in off field/coaching the nippers if he's crocked...
