we have won 3 lost 4 but if you look at the teams we lost to-
wigan
leeds
saints
hudds

they have all been in and around the top 4 for the last few years,
now it dosent seem so bad,
and with a few more winnable games coming up we could be pushing top 4 ourselves midway through the season.

Yeah. Have we really lost any that we wouldn't have expected to so far? I don't think so. The next three games are more vital in terms of how much progress we have made (as I explain in my most recent blog - link in my sig below [/cheeky plug mode)

So far I'd say we are on course with regards to pre-season expectations. We have beaten who I expected us to beat, and lost to who I expected us to lose against.
The only disappointing aspect would be the quality of the performance against Hudds.

But when you take into consideration the disruptive start to the season we had with regards to injuries, we're not exactly in a bad position.
I just hope we can go for a few weeks without the need to swap the starting 17 around. 7 games in and we STILL haven't seen what I would regard as our strongest team on the field.
Langley's knock aside, I'm fully expecting this to change on Sunday against the quins.

leeds had half the team out
saints ditto
hudds hammered

I do like how you emphasised "hammered" for Hudds and Wigan, then because we clearly didn't against Leeds and Saints, you changed the record to another reasoning.

Another way to put it is that we haven't turned a top
side over since Glenn Hall's big moment. Maundy Thursday would be a good time to put this right.

Wigan = SL Champions
Leeds = CC Cup Runners Up/Former SL Champs
Saints = Top 2 in SL for many years and 4 consecutive GF's
Hudds = Very Very Class and Settled Team

If anyone thinks we could beat these in first 7 games then you need a good look at your common sense and lack of a brain.

Quins beat Saints & Leeds, & pushed Hudds.

Yes, I agree, the league is very competitive. If the better side doesn't turn up then they stand a solid chance of losing, but all things being equal the better side will usually win. Pulling a few, unrelated results out of a mass of fixtures doesn't really show anything more than that.

Unrelated? The OP said you had no common sense & lack a brain if you expect Bulls to beat those teams. I showed that, on paper, a poorer team did just that.

They may have done, but the point was not whether they did or could, it was whether they were expected to. Foinavon won the National, but not many expected it would.
