Cos he's got the raw material to make a great player. He just needs the right coaching to try and put it together in the right order.

The lad's long gone, and we (well most of us) wished him well. Those who wanted to bash him had more than a good go last year and after he left, and I personally think it's a bit ordinary, as well as pointless starting another Worrincy-bashing thread now.

I think he should be commended for turning up and taking the abuse he did, when paid next to nothing. the lad could easily have faked an injury but just got on with it in a number of different positions. Remember, Platt was the previous years worrincy and hes now back in favour.

He no longer plays for the club and the same idiot fans are still bitching about him.

There'll be a new fallguy this year no doubt.

This thread is the perfect example, the op hasn't started it to have a sensible conversation about him, he has started a thread for him and other equally repetitive fans to have a pop at him.

It is pathetic, at this stage of the season the fans should be concentrating on our new players and the exciting season ahead, not having the same boring conversations about how bad they thought Worrincy was for us.

And yet, I'm still failing to see where anyone IS having a pop at him. That MAY have been the original idea, I agree. But I still don't see anyone having a go.

With Potter being an assisstant around Elliotts time at the Bulls I wouldn't be suprised if Potter said, 'Could you possibly take him for a year and teach him the basics etc.' And as a favour Elliott said yes.

despite all the constant abuse some unwarrented. He got hounded at the wire away game and blamed for a few tries including one were monaghan ran right along the line and maybe upto 5 players should have tackled him but old mike was blamed as he was the fallout guy.

This does raise the question though of who will be this years scapegoat with Worrincy and Sheriffe leaving.

I'll miss both of them I thought Sheriffe suffered from constantly having a different centre inside him and ended up with his confidence shot to pieces. Mike Worrincy was no worse than a lot of other players but seemed to miss a couple of key tackles making him another scape goat.

Isn't Platt moving back to full back? What about Dave Halley?

Platt won't be fullback unless Kearney,Royston and Ah Van are all injured. And Halley will struggle to get in team unless injuries strike.

Judging by performances in the Trial games, I'd predict Paul Sykes.





No, as Potter explained when the numbers came out. Also, hasn't played fullback once in the Trial games. Halley is going to miss the start of the season through injury which is going to make it difficult for him to get back in the side on the wing or at fullback if those who start the season perform well.

Or alternatively, if we get the same sort of injury crisis as in the last couple of years, and he comes charging in as our saviour............................

Wouldn't it be funny if Worrincy made a name for himself in the NRL? It's a great opportunity for him. I'm sure the incumbent England coach would have no problem selecting him if he did show significant improvement!
