Hey all, just a quick bit of advice needed.

Started watching Super League last year and got quite into it but never went to a home game. Going to my first one on against Saints on sunday. I was just wondering what time to get to the ground?. Need to collect my ticket on site as well. Any advice would be appreciated.

anytime after 2pm to be honest. The pre match entertainment isn't worth arriving early although i do miss cringing at bull boys soulja boy dance. What ever happened to that?

Yep anytime after 2pm is fine. However if it's raining and you want a decent seat under cover don't leave it too late.

The pre match entertainment goes down pretty well with the uninitiated. Those of us who've seen the formula for a few years may find it a bit stale but by all accounts new people still like it.

I get there for about half 2 so i dont get bored with the S**t entertainment before the game. If your a singer stand behind the tunnle

Eeeh! We stuffed 'em that day too. 36-12 IIRC.

GB vs NZ 2nd November 1980 was my first game. I played in the cinders where the coral stand is now. Don't remember much about the game!

I'd get there about 2ish, maybe 2:15 for your first time. Find yourself a good place, and enjoy the pre-match entertainment (i'm sure you will on your first time!)

Welcome wrinkly one. I hope you have a great day on Sunday and keep coming back. I first starting watching in about 1990 and then stopped going for quite few years as I lived in exile down south. Since I moved back to Yorkshire I've become near obsessed with RL again and if you enjoy it half as much as I do you'll get hooked. I've even got my kids into it now; my four year old daughter thinks Bullboy is the greatest thing on earth!

First game I went to was the 1997 Challenge Cup final, we went and bought season tickets the next day.

Yeah enjoy it. Ticket office staff have, in my experiences, been very helpful and will sort you out no worries.

No issues I can think of from my first game, just enjoy it.

the ticket office is through the big gates at the top. You can actually pay cash at the turnstile but if you have kids with you it's worth getting a family ticket. You can get to the club shop once you're inside. There's the touchdown bar too which is good on cold days. Other bars and food outlets are situated around the ground. If you want to sit down you can go into any turnstile and walk around the top to transfer into the stand. If you prefer to stand up it's best behind the tunnel. The ground is at its best in the summer so don't give up on it if it seems a bit grey on sunday.

Only thing I would add is that the turnstiles always seem busier on the opening game of the season, and with the new season passes who knows if it will all run smoothly

, so maybe its not the best game to leave it too late to turn up. I'm going to try and turn up earlier than my customary 5 minuets before KO.

Enjoy the day though, and trust us, it does get warmer at Odsal (for a few weeks in August at least
