Spoke to Semi Tadulala this morning in the cafe near school, before he went training, i asked him about his contract, he said the bulls have offered him one but he has spoke with RU clubs, he mentioned Leeds Carnegie and that if he doesn't sign for Bradford he will go to RU, i mentioned about his success in the WC with Fiji and he mentioned that Akuila Uate the opposite winger to him, currently with Newcastle is looking to sign for a SL Club, so there could be a possibility there

Surprised he was so open tbh! Ive spoken to him before and he's a genuinely nice guy, I think he deserves another contract but I wouldn't be surprised to see -if he gets offered- him go to union. Akuila Uate, don't know much about him, but if Semi recommends him he can't be all that bad.

Uate played 4 games at the World Cup and scored 5 tries, including a hat trick against France. I remember watching him and thinking he looked half decent to be honest.

didnt semi try to make the switch to union whilst he was at wakefield. If I remember correctly then there could be something in this, semi's at an age where hes probably only got another year or so at SL level whereas if he switched codes now he'll get another 3 or 4 years in union. If semi does go then we'd probably have to look to bring someone in, unless theres someone close to making step up from reserve level?, anyone know what quality reserve wingers are upto?

so if semi goes we need to look at bringing someone in basically. noticed in league express that will sharp at quins is a bradford lad, ex dudley hill, wonder if fancies a return up north.

tend to agree tbh, name just came to mind because of bradford connection. which wingers are available? havent really looked as just assumed we'd retain semi for another year. Cant say I can think of many british ones who'd be available and not be a step down in quality, so I guess we'd have to look overseas.

watched him in the NRL he is a great winger. Very fast. would be a top signing.

Semi Tadulala - What can you say about this guy other than 100% all game, every week. Never takes a backward step and always gets stuck in. He's my favourite player at Bulls.

I hope like hell that we re-sign Semi, because there is only one winger I would have in front of him in Super League and that's Ryan Hall.

However, given his commitment to us over the past few seasons I wouldn't begrudge him a move to union where he can get the dollar dollar bill ya'll

Dpending on ther "issue" i would snap him up quality signing and lets not forget we have room on the cap

Semi is a great man off the field, and an honest professional who puts 100% in every game, dont think ive met a nicer rugby league player than semi tbh.

Good luck to him whatever he does, I think he has the ability to play in SL for the next 2 years, but if he gets a 3/4yr deal in union fair play to the guy.

yeah he looked good, one of them was a length of the field n did a couple of frogs in the process. Has played well for The Knights whenever I have seen him play this season. Good feet and genuine pace, would be a goood signing for the bulls.

I'd like to see Semi for another couple of years as we'd miss both his close range strike power and the hard work he puts in taking the ball up to give the forwards a breather.
I'm sure i read somewhere that he prefers to go year by year but the stability of a 3/4 year contract in RU would obviously be tempting and although I'd be disappointed to see him go he would do so with thanks and best wishes.
