| 5 out of the 6 clubs involved in close rival high impact derbys lost the second game of the easter spectacular. Is this just coincidence or does the intensity of the earlier game effect these teams more than teams in less pressured fixtures.

If the RFL insist on playing two games over Easter it would make more sense to reverse Good Friday's fixtures on the Easter monday.

| One of two things needs to happen.
1) Only play one game at easter and stop everyone moaning.
2) Keep it as it is, but ban all moaning from commentators and media about too many games at easter.
I'd like to ban it from fans too, but that's easier said than done.
It's getting monotonous now that every single year at Easter time, players, commentators, media and fans are talking about it being too hard to play 2 games in quick succession. Either sort it out, or get everyone to shut up about it.

Needs to be 1 game over the weekend doesn't it?!
In seasons gone by we have played 28 games, we now play 27, therefore extendeding the seasin by a week should pose any problem.
Sky could still probably show the same amount a games too. I don't think playing on the Monday would be too much of an issue providing it was the only game of the weekens for the teams involved.

In previous years they have even shown a gae on Sky on the Tuesday. Salford used to be faves for this fixture for some strange reason.

Not this year though.
Sky could still have the Thurs game, 2 on Friday and one on Monday without too much trouble. I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult to arrange the fixtures before and after the easter weekend to accommodate this.

| Every club wants 2 games, so every club can have what is a bumper home gate.
The players who are whingeing about it, like Peacock, really should get a grip. It's not as if they have to do this every week. It's what the fans want (if feet=votes) and the players of all people should know how much the clubs desperately need to make the most of rare opportunities for extra cash injections.
Yes in an ideal world, players would get 7 days to recover for the next game. Newsflash Jamie - it's not an ideal world and never going to be. Or get your fellow players to all volunteer to take a pay cut equal to the club's financial loss etc., in return for the extra day off, in which case the clubs would presumably be happy?

I take your point, however, the second game over easter is going to produce a mistake ridden, dour game more often than not.
Personally, I would prefer to see a better quality game the following week.

Disagree, this is just a bandwagon raised by player interests and jumped on gleefully by the media, and swallowed by some fans and coaches - especially those of teams that lose on the Monday or the following weekend.
I enjoyed the Catalans game. What was wrong with that? Are the players in that game somehow immune to this terrible burden of a second game?

But our game was a prime example of this wasn't it. I think the effects of Fridays game were clearly there to see.
Surely the players are in the best position to comment on how it effects them.
How many more fans do you think turned up to yesterdays games because it was on a bank holiday?
