Can you beat Wakefield on Monday?

Always hard to back up after a big effort and Wakey are playing well. It'll be tough.

Totally agree, personally wouldnt be surprised to see us get beat by Salford. Personally I think the easter schedule is bit hectic for the players. Last nights game will of taken hell of a lot out of both sides.

Yep last night was a real slog and the Easter schedule certainly is hectic! I think there will be a few upsets on Monday as it will probably come down to who handles two games in such a short space of time the best.

That said if ever a result would push us on to beat Wakey then last night was it, so fingers crossed.

It will, but if Lynch and Nero pull through they only played half a game. Platt didn't feature at all either.

Why was that?

I'd be hugely impressed if we came out with maximum points from the Easter weekend. Going to Wakey is almost always a tough game for us and I expect it'll have plenty of tries due to fatigued players.

I wondered if we might have recalled Matt James to bring a fresh forward into the side. We will surely need to bring at least a couple of fresh legs into the team.

I think it was more to do with Halley having an absolute stormer than Platt being rubbish. This may be thanks to Wakefield a little

The T & A were quite categoric: he was dropped.

Halley was picked by McNamara ahead of Platt.

Selecting teams is what coaches do. It doesn't mean he'll always pick Halley, or always pick Platt, but whatever the reasons behind the selections, only a blind halfwit would fail to see the great improvement which has been brought about in Halley's play.

Of course, the way he played might be
(a) because of McNamara, dropping him, loaning him out to Wakefield etc and generally telling and showing him what he needed to do to mve on to the next level; or
(b) maybe Halley has always played that well, but nobody ever noticed.

My own view is that Halley has at times shown up very well, and shown promise, but at other times lost application and been inconsistent. For my money, he has come back from his Wakefield experience a better player, and last night he had easily his best game for the club.

Does the coaching staff get any credit for that? they do from me, but of course, it may be nothing at all to do with them, his performance might have been a complete "fluke", if that's what you want to believe.

I think we can beat Wakefield, theyve only had a short tiurn around aswell. We should be able to beat them.

Whenever anything goes wrong, its entirely the coach's fault. When it goes right, the credit accrues entirely to the player. Simple!

I think we can beat anybody. On our day. As could probably any other club.

Whether we WILL or not will depend on a lot of things, not least how well our lot can back up the menatl as well as the physical effort. All the players have a positive attitude, good morale around. I think we will win this one, the players will be up for it again

Adey posted basically the same article a few minutes back. I hope it's true, can see us winning with the players current mentality.

Surely beating Wakey isn't a priority this season??
