Doesn't that bottom photo just sum Newton up completely?

If the shutter had gone a second earlier you'd have seen his arm hit the chest before bouncing up

That doesn't work with the argument though. It was a high tackle. end of!

So how do all you armchair detectives know that (for example) Scruton's tackle did not cause the Cas guy to double up and drop onto Newton's arm?

Answer - you don't, cos you can't tell what really happened without a video.

Cas player's head drops as he goes into tackle. Newton's arm was across chest at start of tackle. Its cas player who drops, not Newton's arm that raises until tackle from other player is well underway.

The photos that actually prove him right. But never mind.

The first photo clearly shows that Feather is stood almost upright and then leans into the tackle. So although it ended up a high tackle there is nothing in it.

Newton may not have raised his arm, but its done wonders for raising the profile of GC Sports Photography!
