It wasn't nice to see, but it's not like she did anything other than have a good moan at the ref. I could see your point if she'd have broken a bottle over his head or something, but tbh its a bit of a storm in a teacup.

Its just this kind of head in the sand attitude that is ruining the game we love. Think of the children in the crowd seeing that kind of aggression from a senior citizen role model.

What kids do you know that would want to copy the behaviour of a doddering old granny? It's practically a non-event as far as i'm concerned, yes she shouldn't have done it, yes she should get a slap on the wrist (couple of games ban maybe?) but in no way was this what I would describe as hooliganism. I'm just glad the club are keeping it on the downlow, especially with the licencing decisions coming up.

I think the take on here TrinityIHC is in the tilte to this thread, hooligranism rather than hooliganism, and the manner in which everyone's posts are "playing" with that idea.

I think, on a serious note - which this thread isn't, too much - most would tend to agree with you.

Clearly Hooligranism is a real issue with real consequences for the decent law abiding sports fan. Wakefield would have been better served making an example of this lady if they want to be viewed favourably during the licensing process. Personally I wouldn't allow them another 3 years in Superleague if they can't be seen to be taking steps to stamp out this problem. Maybe the next few games at Belle Vue should be played behind closed doors?
