When we started mentioning Kyle Amor on this board, I'm sure there was no basis to the rumour, other than he was a player some of us fancied.
A poster incorrectly stated he was OOC and from that some rumours started to gather momentum - months before Wakey started clearing the boards.

Did a rumour started on this site with no real foundations start a string of events that led to us actually signing him, or is it a mere coincidence? Does Mike Rush and Nathan Brown trawl the message boards looking for ideas from SaintsFan and Bewareshadows, or is Saddened actually Eammon in disguise?

Definitely, (please excuse the interuption of a Rovers fan) we were only commenting yesterday how in the middle of Masongate last year one of our regular posters commented that he might go to French rah-rah.

A week later he signed for Toulon.

I doubt they pick up players as targets from here. But there is absolutely no doubt that the club reads and responds to what is posted on here. There is little doubt that my name has come up in several board meetings over at HQ.

The emphasising of the transfer fee for Amor on the club website is an example. They know we've been moaning about the lack of ambition and willingness to invest and take a roll of the dice.

I have no doubt as well that I'm the reason Wello's deal hasn't been announced yet. They know I'll explode when it's made public and they fear what my legion of supporters will do.

Cant remember if I posted this on here but definitely put it on Redvee that Nosey Parker had written in Sun about Hull KR being interested in Cockayne and Amor and offering £30k each for them, and said I think we should sign him... If you was in a business and there was a forum for your customers , would you not have a peek to get an idea of how they feel.
As to how much sway this has is anyone's guess but I'm convinced it was a big factor in the cladding issue.

Been on the club's radar for some time.

I was once lucky enough to get a prediction on here right (or was it redvee not sure now) and the thread got taken down within a couple of hours for that very reason.

Bottom line is if the thread stays open then you have not hit a nerve and you are wrong.

Amor was just a lucky guess before the club had probably showed any interest or after is was signed and sealed. If you buy enough lottery tickets you will eventually win the jackpot.

Amor was a deal for the season after next originally.

If so I was a good move from the club to stump up the cash. Gets us a player in a position we needed for 2014 and gives Wakey some cash they really need.

To be fair for half the season he picked his teams using using a top hat filled with names so why not use an internet forum for picking his signings

I can't imagine a player prediction would get taken down, unless it was that said player was going to lay a few grand down against the team to win.

The club 100% reads this message board, I know this for a fact

I've no doubt they read them, it's a very easy way to gauge how their customers feel. If the actually take transfer targets from it? Very very doubtful
