I must admit, I am a betting man and love a good bet on an underdog, but there is no way I would waste £1 on Perry, got more chance of Ricky Bibey making a surprise signing after Round 1 and winning it than him!!

Given the way they combine, if Gaskell slots back in at #6, Lomax may well be in the running.

Roby are Tomkins are so far ahead that it's going to take a strong effort to get the award ahead of either of them. There's no other obvious candidates for me unless somebody has a breakthrough year e.g. Myler, Watkins, Hardaker, Mossop.

Other than Roby, Soliola and Manu are our best chances of a man of steel winner.
