| Seen a couple of these knocking around on other boards so got me thinking about who would get into mine.
Due to only being born in the late 80's, I missed out on seeing quite a lot of legends such as van Vollenhoven, Murphy, Meninga etc so have just picked on the players I have seen play.
1. Paul Wellens
2. Darren Albert
3. Jamie Lyon
4. Paul Newlove
5. Anthony Sullivan
6. Tommy Martyn
7. Sean Long
8. Apollo Perelini
9. Keiron Cunningham
10. James Graham
11. Chris Joynt
12. Tony Puletua
13. Paul Sculthorpe
14. James Roby
15. David Fairleigh
16. Kevin Ward
17. Maurie Fa'asavalu

Born around the same time as me and off the top of my head I can't better that team. It certainly looks very scary.

I've been watching Saints since the mid eighties and that team will take some beating! The only change I definetly would make, off the top of my head, would be Roy Haggerty at 12, with TP replacing Fa'asavalu on the bench. That's only because Haggy was my childhood hero whose offloads, at times, were magical!
The rest I need to think long and hard about.....

You picked Ropati. I only started watching in the 93-94 season. I belive the season before was the one that Ropati really ripped it up.

I had a BIC biro that I used to treasure because Tea Ropati had used it to write me his autograph. Sad really.

Georgie Mann was awesome. He was one of the first in the style of maurie. Fast, strong and made break after break.
I used to love seeing his one hand carries with his cool running style breaking thru the line.

Cooper man was awesome when he first came over to saints but at the back end of his career he was awful.
Towards the end he thru so many murder balls he should have been sent down for life. ( Sean Devine will know all about that )

Same here. He was pretty poor in his latter days, but I couldn't help but like him because I just found something about him - probably the fact that he looked so out of place on a rugby pitch - strangely amusing. He had his nasty moments though - he perpetrated possibly the most abominable act of thuggery I've ever seen on a rugby pitch, making a right mess of Martin Ketteridge's face, and somehow didn't even concede a penalty (although it ended up being his last game for Saints once the disciplinary committee got hold of the video).
