| I know Widdop is having a great season in Aus but obviously he can't play in the exiles game so do you reckon Lomax might get a run out at 6 alongside Brough? IMO he is definitely an international in the waiting so get him in their and see how he does.

| Dead cert for England, or should be. He's been superb for you guy's, and fully deserves an England call up. Like you say he'll probably partner the missing link in the halves. Whether that'll work between the two of them I'm unsure. They both play a similar game. I personally would always prefer to see a contrast in playing styles between the two halves.
It'll still be an Exiles win IMO, because of their superior set of outside backs. And depending on who play's the Exiles could also field a better pack than England's.

| I picked a side a few weeks back on the VT and didn't have him in but that was because he was injured and I wasn't sure when he'd be back. Now he's fit and firing I'd have him in at 6 alongside Brough and I think that would be a really exciting pairing with Brough organising game allowing Lomax to do what he's best at and take the line on and run at big forwards.
We should use this game to give some young guys like Lomax, McGillvary and Mossop a crack.

I wouldn't mind something along them lines. I've more than likely missed people out because I didn't put too much thought into it.

| I really don't see how Peacock deserves to be in the team, he's just come cack from a bad injury andit has shown, totally off the pace and there are players who deserve a chance before an unfit peacock

| He was awesome this week, and has caused problems against other teams.
Peacock made about 150 metres and 42 tackles against a very good Warrington team. Any England team would benefit from having Peacock in it.

Fair enough but it should be played on a blank weekend. The fans pay to watch their team week in week out. Why should the club side be forced to risk 2 competition points by players having to back up with 2 games in as many days or missing out altogether ?
Typical RFL half decent idea and brainless organisation.
Blank weekend or why not play it mid week ?

Will we NEVER learn - Jonny is great -will be even greater but he is not ready to play for England YET. Its only a few short years since the world was proclaiming that Kevin Penny was the great white hope fast tracked into the England set up to end up being loaned out of Wakefield for god's sake!
Give him time and let him learn his trade everyone will benefit then.

Theoretically, Jonny Lomax has been around long enough to be considered for a place in the England team. But he just hasn't played at 7 for long enough. Still, he could have a go in the Exiles match, see how he fares. I'm not against the idea. If he's good enough then he will take it to them. I think he has the right attitude anyway. Looks fearless on the pitch. It's not like we are overwhelmed by options and he certainly does do a catchy looking step thingy.

| F£$% No!!!
Let the Wigan rejects over at the Girlpharm break their bodies in the name of pointless mid-season internationals.
Oh and why has everyone picked Lunt, he is struggling to keep his place in the Huddersfield side this year.
On form I would pick
1.Sam "Plank" Tomkins
2. Josh Charnley
3. Ryan Atkins
4. Kirk Yeaman
5. McGilvray
6. Lee "Taffy" Briers
7. Paul Deacon
8. Peacock
9. Sinfield
10. Morley
11. Westwood
12. Tomkins
13 O'Loughlin
14. Carvell
15. Griffin/Crabtree
16. Briscoe
17. Harrison

| To be fair Lomax has played well but injured too. Brown should partner Brough in all honesty, they are playing well ad Shuddersfield.

Brown was rubbish in the Four Nations.
This would have been the ideal time to try Lomax out. Just to try him, like Smith did with Eastmond and Tomkins. Presumably McBanana is waiting for Widdop.

safe to Widdop will be our 6 I think when hes available. Lomax will be a 7 going forward and I expect him to get the shirt to prove it next year.
Brown may have been poor last year but at least he's a specialist 6 unlike any other player in the announced squad.
