he hasnt (imo) put a foot wrong in these two games, i just hope he it was just precautionary today and can play against wakey. He has another 4 weeks to cement his place. I just have a niggling fear that ade will walk back into the side regardless of how well Jonny does there

Even when Gardner returns, I too hope Lomax retains his place. Potter needs to pick his team based on form not past reputation.

I don't think it was malicious from Elima, but if you catch your opponent in the head with an elbow you deserve a red card and a ban to come with it. He gets no sympathy from me on that.

Lomax has impressed me everytime he's played on the wing, he's got pace and goes on the outside. He's also pretty reliable due to playing full back regularly. For me, he should retain the spot over Gardner.

Lomax is has the potential to be a top player and im sure you'll all agree with that. Gardner is living on pass reputation and only ever did well because of Jamie Lyon. To be honest i have never rated him. Its vital that three quarters have great footwork, speed and good core skills, these are areas that we are suffering in.

I would rather see Meli in the pack because his has the power to cause problems down the middle and he'll be mobile. The only problem would be his handling skills!

If he continues to play as he has until Gardner is fit to return, then yes, he should keep the spot. Let's not dive in with the hyperbole and mass adulation off of two games. Does look promising though!

I don't think Elimer connected with an elbow to Lomax's head. If he had I would agree that would be bad and probably deserving of a straight red. Elimer appeared to catch Lomax with his shoulder and then his arm came up after the impact. I wasn't aware that the use of the shoulder was illegal in RL indeed Bailey on Fa'asavalu last season would suggest that it isn't, unless the law has been changed.

A very quick decision from Ganson which is unlike him as he usually pretends to consult his touch judges while taking advice from the video referee when he's available.

I hope Lomax makes a quick recovery.

I remember a incident last year but can't really recall the tackle, Morleys hit last night was no worse than Elimas and no red card, unlike is hit the week before on Sherwin that deserved one.

If the RFL back up Ganson then fine and i hope whatever the outcome Lomax as suffered no more than a dizzy head from it and is ok.

The game needs to do all it can to protect players.

In your opinion,mine is that Lomax had beaten Elima with good footwork and the only way the former Wakey player could stop him was with a very late and quickly raised arm,and he certainly stopped him.

If the RFL see it your way then fine, we got the points but more importantly Lomax looked okay sat on the bench.

Elima isn't a dirty player, but the tackle was a bad one. You can clearly see on the shot from behind the posts that he lifts the elbow to go for Lomax, then follows though the head. If Elima hadn't lifted his elbow he wouldn't have made contact with Lomax! Dirty player? no, Malicious tackle? unfortunately yes
