Great game from Wheeler, poor effort from Atkins trying to smash him when he had clearly gone down injured.

Hardly missed Long, and that's testament to Wheeler, Wilkin and Price.

Exciting future with Wheeler, Eastmond & Lomax all being able to play in the halves and at the back.

Hope Wheeler's ankle is ok for the Leeds game.

He had a great game, but his injury was worrying. That could quite easily be a season ender. Hopefully though it's just a minor ankle strain as we'll no doubt need him next week.

Sprained his ankle according to Sky. I would expect to see him back next week.

I am very happy with the kids coming through this season. Lomax showed some nice touches, and the mistakes will disappear as he gets more game time. Wheeler was excellent, and Ashurst looks like he could be a gem too given more time. Great pass for Ade's try.

Had to watch the game on Sky tonight but I was listening on and off to Radio Manchester for the Wigan scores. They kept going over to the Wakey game and the commentator kept saying to Deardon and Trevor Hunt about them drooling over Ainscough at Wigan. Wait until you see young Wheeler at Saints he is top class and scored a wonderfull try.

Ainscough made two howlers tonight that cost tries. But you have to live with that, and Sam had a poor game with his decision making, same applies.

His go forward was good tonight but the performance wouldn't have been complete without a knock on from a high kick.

He has made howlers in at least 2 other games as well. I worry that Ainscough appears to believe that he is a world beater already, and seems to be more concerned with his tatoos and fake tan. I realise players need to be confident, but when it becomes arrogance at such an early age I worry. Someone needs to ensure that this superb crop that are in SL keep their feet on the floor to become great players, and maybe then they can live the celebrity lifestyle.

PS: That charge was dropped - prosecution brought no evidence.

Very impressed with Wheeler, he looks a good un to me. The idea of Wheeler, Eastmond and Pryce combining is exciting to say the least.

I always think the halves is the most difficult position to come into as a youngster, due to the performance of Wheeler last night we didn't miss Long at all.

I do wish somebody at Saints would be trained to control the deep kicking game. If we can get someone to make sure the opposition are constantly starting from their own try line then Saints would be nigh on unbeatable for me.
