To be fair the ball that put him through was fricken awesome. I was looking at the player next to him thinking that was where the ball had gone and all of a sudden Flannery was through. Brilliant line though. The line running was the difference in the 2 tonight IMO.

thats what I was saying before about breaking leed's line. You tried and maintained the line run yourselves but never gained ground from it cause our defense closed you down. Can honestly say iot was close on that respect tonight. Thats where Potter has improved our defense.

Was a great move, the defender (Sinfield?) was stood opposite Pryce and his attention was obviously divided between him and where the ball was, Flannery must've come outta nowhere for him. Great move.

He was in state of origin form. Flanno, Gilly, Wello, those 3 tonight were gem's, along with Grahm, Hargreaves, Pryce, Wheeler, Ade, Gidley, Cayless, Long, KC, Roby, Ashurst, Fas and my vocal chords.

Interesting to hear he said he would like to stay in the back row. I remember when we signed him he said he prefered playing loose to radio Murkeydive. Be good to see him keep that partnership with Gidley because it worked a treat yesterday.

You dont play origin if you are some yourneyman mug. However, I dont think he has lived up to what our perceptions of an origin player are, but that said, friday night he was awesome. Lets hope he can put in a few more performances like that.

Friday was his best game by a mile. He needs to be involved in both the attack and defence like that every week.

I have been one of Lego heads harshest critics, but on Friday night he was superb and MOM, in my opinion. He was almost Sculthorpe-esque.

With the young talent coming through, most players are being pushed now and Flannery really brought his A game to the table.

Just hope he can keep his form going because we have not had a settled influenial looseforward for 2 seasons now.
