Not sure he'd want reminding about this but can you ask him about collecting an Alfie Langer grubber in his own in-goal at Wilderspool then Alfie following it up and taking the ball back off him one-on-one and scoring.

As a Leeds fan I’d have to say that Tommy was my favourite saints player. He and Paul Sculphorpe represented all that was class around that era. I’ll remember him for his kicking game mainly. Its no surprise saints fans of today are asking him to bring his boots along on Saturday

It may have been referred to indirectly above - but I think that try against Wigan was the third of his hat trick that day.

But Tommy was not infallible. He made a "Big Mistake" against Leeds one game at Knowsley Rd.

Leeds were attacking and Saints did not have time to organise their defence.

Tommy was on the bench at the time, I think. And he made an "understandable mistake". He kicked the ball onto the pitch, but there was already one one the pitch so the ref. had to hold up play while the situation was sorted out.

Strangely enough that gave Saints time to organise their defence and they held out against the Leeds attack.

The lesson of course is that it is more important that people realise to have good alert players on the bench.
