He's certainly a gobsh!!e, but he's proving rather effective - he's getting under the skin of teams and putting them off their game, very Bailey-esq.
I'd like to think our team wouldn't be so stupid as to fall for it - it's the oldest trick in the book, he s old manning teams. And very similar to Bailey in his later years, he's not really got that much else in his locker.
My money is on Minichedders for first try - he's the sort of backrower we're desperately lacking, and the sort we always seem to struggle to contain.

I disagree, I would put it nearer to Albert than Bailey. And in terms of quality he could walk straight into our team. He is much better than given credit for. Although I give you, an annoying sod.

Don't get me wrong, I think he's decent standard and versatile. And most importantly he has that thing sadly lacking in too many players nowadays, a bit of mongrel and 'win at all costs' mentality - he'll put his all in every game, it's a personal battle every week. There's lots I like about his character as a rugby player and I'd have him at Leeds 100%. Thats being said, we should be good enough to not get drawn in by his antics.

What I didn't like was Thaler getting in on the act and warning Hull a couple of tines about his behaviour - I didn't think Connor did anything wrong last night, yeah he was chirpy, but it's up to the Wire players to ignore it. If they aren't professional enough to deal with it, Thaler shouldn't be helping them out by trying to stop him winding them up further.

In your opinion. In mine he’s way above Sutcliffe and Gaskell, wether that is Fullback, centre, or stand off position. Is he the quality I would like? Not particularly. But still way above those players.

Another year, another battling defeat at Headingley for Hull. Its almost a tradition now.

I know you have a few key players missing, but I just cant see us getting anything at a place we always struggle without Houghton, Paea, Faraimo, Watts and maybe Tuimavave. On the plus side if Tuimavave and Faraimo are missing we should see Jack Logan get a game which will be nice to see after a rough couple of years for him.

On the Connor debate. He is still young. He has errors in him and he can be petulant. However, he is a fierce competitor and is capable of genuine moments of freakish skill. I have very high hopes for him. Just not sure whether his future lies at 3 or 6.

We need more players that wind everyone up, not less. The game is thankfully more sanitised than it was in terms of violence, but having players people love to hate is part of any sport.
