I don't personally rate Galloway. I think he's a plodder. His injury leaves us short though. You can't have a full back and a halve on the bench when it comes to the business end of the season. Can Cameron Smith or Oledzki be recalled to get 20 minutes out of one of them v Wigan? Both look promising. Walters doesn't. Baldwinson is out of favour and Ormondroyd hasn't had a look. I think we're OK at Prop, but we're light at 2nd row and LF, and we like to play a prop at LF.

We can recall Oledzki and Smith as they've been on loan for over a month now. Key thing coming up now for us regarding those two and Ormondroyd and Baldwinson at Fev is that we're approaching the 8's and they won't be able to play for us if they make an appearance for Fev or Bradford. Can't see either of the Fev pair playing for them, not sure what he'll do with the Bradford duo though.

Ormondroyd was 18th man vs Hull and unused sub vs Saints so I'd guess he's the most likely to come in first.

I went up to Batley this afternoon to watch them and the Bulls, Oledzki is a great talent but I don't think he is anywhere near ready for Super League yet, the Batley forwards were knocking him around and then he was substituted. Smith,Hallas and Aston looked pretty ordinary.

I've been of the opinion that Keith Galloway has been a good recruit. IMO the only reason he hasn't won a section of fans over, is that lots saw him as a replacement for the freak that is JP. Let's face it, that was a big ask. I like Galloway, gets through a ton of the ugly work.

Baldwinson and Ormondroyd can play for both because they've played more than eight games on duel registration so eligible for both.

Wrt to Cameron Smith a poster has had this to say on his showings from Bradford......

I genuinely think there's too much pressure on Smith due to him being a star junior. Its going to take a while for him to work out what role he plays and how. If he's not handled right he'll end up vanishing without trace.

I think it is more to do with the additional 20kg of weight he had to put on in a short time.

And as for Galloway, he does a decent job for us, yes a plodder but a lot of work. I do t think he is put down because of comparisons to previous players, I think it is more to do with been a high paid overseas player. Value for money.

Sutcliffe isn't far away. His versatility will be vital. Cuthbertson will surely go to prop and then we have a number of options in the back row with Keinhorst also coming back

Galloway will be a miss, we're not overburdened with genuine frontline props. I think we can cover but were we to lose Garbutt too I think it could scupper our trophy chances, such as they are.

Our trophy chances go if we lose any of Moon, Parcell or Cuthbo for an extended period in my opinion.

Those 3 have been the absolute spine of our attack this season.

Definitely agree with this. I think we'll miss Galloway in defence. I hope it doesn't end up stifling Cuthbo's creativity

Cuthbertson shouldn't be used as a straight up and down prop. He's no good at it - without his creativity he's a sub par prop. Galloway's replacement should be whoever can do the best job at doing what Galloway does.

Think he will vanish without a trace full stop. just shows good juniors don't always make good pro's. still young enough to turn things around but i think he is a dud. add to a long list of players who looked the dogs playing junior and academy but cant handle playing against men.

half true, whilst i think you are dismissing his ability as an out n out prop, you are right it is not his best asset, being a running ball player is defo is strongest point, but he can do the hard stuff if required.

Whilst he's not a natural up and down prop that doesn't mean on occasions he shouldn't do that a bit more when the situation requires for example bad weather or a slender lead, sometimes a nice solid run would be nice and what's needed.

There was a reason Bennett wanted Cuthbertson out at the Knights, and it was because once he was made to stop the offloads he was basically Ben Cross Mk2, except without giving away as many penalties. I've no doubt he can 'do a job' and still does at times, his role simply has to be using his offloads - its best for him and the team.

Anyway, all I'm saying is that someone else needs to do the straight up and down job Galloway does, and it shouldn't be Cuthbertson.

I think Baldwinson & Ormondroyd have played enough games to be available for both.

C1:2:6 Subject to the other provisions of this Operational Rule, once a Player has played for any Club in any Competition (other than the Reserve Team Programme of Matches) after the end of the Super League or Championship Regular Season (or after Round 1 of the League 1 Super 8s and League 1 Shield), whether that be the Club with whom he is registered, the Club he is Dual Registered to or the Club to which he is on Loan, he shall only be able to play for that Club for the remainder of the Season and shall not be entitled to play for any other Club in any Competition (other than the Reserve Team Programme of Matches).

The above provision shall not apply to Dual Registered Players who have played 8 or more Matches for their Dual Registered Club before: (i) in the case of Championship Clubs, the end of the Regular Season; and (ii) in the case of League 1 Clubs, the completion of Round 1 of the League 1 Super 8s or League 1 Shield, who shall be entitled to continue to play for the Club to which they are registered and the Club to which they are Dual Registered after the above date.
