They'll be well aware of the abuse they'll get. They just won't answer the stupid though and keep it to the constructive tweets

I hope this works and is constructive but you can see the weight of abuse evetually causing them to shut it down unfortunately.
Any kind of public dialogue is welcome imo this "closed book" approach only adds to the frustrations of many fans but surely there should be more regular meetings with the Coaches and players then say the gist of those meetings publicised on the RFL website/LE and LW.

They have already said that any abuse will be an instant block and report to Twitter.

If this does end up getting shut down because supposed fans of the game abuse it, then they lose the right to complain about match officials not being accountable.

yet it worked well when briscoe got his first try. RL refs are way behind their football and union counterparts when using the advantage rule

I think this has been alright thus far some have admitted their errors and answered well and also with humour where appropriate.

Its used very well in Union with a very clear signal to the players and crowd that the referee has spotted a penalty but is allowing a period of "advantage", in a game which has a confusing number of ways to penalise things that the crowd never see its one thing they've got right.

there should be. i use it in football all the time and it has really worked well there.
