Carl Ablett is one of our best and hardest working players. He scores important tries in big matches, uses Lee Briers as a welcome mat and never lets us down, and yet he's never had a chant. Nearly everyone else who's been in the team as long as he has gets a chant (even though Danny McGuire's is the generic 'One....' chant), but Carl has never had one.

Why? And can't we think of one?

Shame he didn't run over Chris Hill.

Danny McGuire was been one of the most influential players internationally and domestically in the modern era. One of the best players Leeds has ever seen. Scored more tries than any other Leeds player in the current squad but yet still doesn't have his own chant.

What about whoaaa oh it's Danny mcguireee (to the tune of sex on fire)

Well we keep getting old by that lot that he's no good.So perhaps the chant should be about how good he is

Surely Baby Got Back is perfect for Carl. Admittedly it may stretch the timing of the South Stand voices.

If only they had someone with a drum to keep them in check...

Call me a bitter twisted cynic, but I have a sneaky suspicion that after going separate ways, our drumming friend may have returned in another form...

You can't say that on here - he is just an overrated support player according to the likes of Jeff and Gareth

I'd challenge Chris Hill to keep his focus and keep running the right way.

A certain incident at the end of a recent Grand Final springs to mind.

As the South Stand (choir and brass section) are strictly limited to a maximum of 4 different melodies in any one game, demanding a new one may be a big ask.
(Their favourite, "We're Leeds, Rhinos, We're Leeds Rhinos" never gets annoying at all; not even on the 50th verse.)

I'm wondering, now Webb has gone, that frees up a spot for the "Brent Webb is Superman / Sir Kevin Sinfield / That's Why We're Champions" multi-use tune - could be a goer for Ablett? Maybe something dead imaginative like "Carl Ablett's very good"?

Remember that "Rhinos Anthem" the club commissioned a few years back?
