Congratulations to the U20's team, sounds like they put in a massive effoer verus a very strong Wigna team including Mr Fielden. Couple of negatives were an injuury to Keinhorst.....hope he can get back in time for pre-season and be on the verge if not in the starting squad.... I hear before in was injured he set up the a try and led the team in defence and attack along on his side....great defence. Jimmy Watson has been a consistent player... is in signed for the next couple of years?

Second negative, the system changes next year and that the Rhinos will lose some potential prospects.....do we know the expected youngsters that we are keeping this year or is that nor finalised. Are there any current Junior players that people believe should be looking for SL loan deals verus Hunslet to give them better experience.....Armor and McShane have clearly benefited from this verus the U20's and fringe apperances at the rhinos.

Awaits Wigan fan telling us Leeds academy is in a dreadful state.

For that matter, awaits Gotcha and Bywater telling us McDermott (Barrie) is doing a dreadful job with our juniors.

lotion aside....both could well be in the match day selections next year.....would be worth giving Singleton some game time.... I feel it is easier to give a forward some SL experience rather than a Hooker mainly due to the interchange. Couple of stints in a few SL games for Singleton could be very beneficial, decision on Hood depends on what we hear about Lunt's future.

lets just get this thread in order , and not some personal childish exchanges, what i witnessed on sunday was one of the bravest team performances i ever seen , these lads gave there all against a huge huge bid name wigan side , credit were credit is due , boys if you come in here take a bow , wigan sent a team to stanningley to pummel us , and on paper should have , i counted at least 10 1st teamers in the wigan squad, also 5 over age, leeds team had i think 7 un 18s playing , and wella and jimmy k were are over age , leeds were in no mood what so ever to crumble to wigans might, are forewards bashed there big names to bits,it was one hell of a game !

Excellent response....... As you said it was a Massive win.....big pack and names for Wigan left Leeds on a quiet coach ride home!!! Thats why I mentioned on my original post about the prospects that we may lose due to next year's changes and those that we have on paper to keep and develop....good development ahead it seems.

Even the thread about this game with no animosity got locked on the Wigan board

I've said all season we have stacks of potential in our Acadamy sides and seeing alot of these lads play on a regular basis i think the club have some seriously big calls to make re-their futures especially the ones who dont qualify for the new farcical U19 system.
Hopefully the likes of Singleton ,Hood ,Keinhorst et al can continue to push for 1st team games or at least get dual registered under contract for us and whoever picks up the lads we dont retain will have some good young RL players on their books imo.

I'm hoping to invest in a super sized bottle for next season when both figure regularly in the first 17.



(Sincerely hope Leeds can hold onto these two...and the likes of Jimmy Watson too. I've stated before I do think Keinhorst is already destined for the no.4 shirt for the start of next season).

Just saw the highlights, Watson, Duckworth and Keinhorst had some nice moves, Keinhorst backhand offload for the first try was great, Nice to see Weller giving his all for the 20's....good luck to him ar Cas

Look forward to this final on Saturday. Tough game, but we beat them already this season.
