| If Delaney is as doubtful as McDermott said he was a few days ago then we have no choice but to put Hardaker back to left centre with Webb at FB.
Webb
BJB, Watkins, Hardaker, Hall
Sinfield, Burrow
Leuluai, Lunt, Peacock
JJB, Ward
Bailey
Griffin, Kirke, Clarkson, Hauraki
Tempted to put Ward on the bench actually and promote Clarkson. With both Lunt and Burrow starting we have no pivot player on the bench and if Lunt needs a breather then Ward can slot in fresh in the halves with Burrow switching to hooker.

Same old tried and tested.
I would play Chisholm and rest BJB or Hall
I would go one further and play Keinhorst and rest Hardaker.

With Ablett out and Delaney an unnecessary risk to take I think giving Keinhorst a game should of happened but he's not in the 19 and with a top 4 finish in touching distance I can't see any of the U20's getting a shot for the remaining games of this season with the exception of the week after Wembley if we are a bit walking wounded or one of the wingers get an injury.

No choice ? ....There was every opportunity to trial Keinhorst at LC and keep Hardaker in his proven better poistion at FB.
Suffice to say I also agree with Chapylad......it would have been further ideal to see Chisholm outside his
u-20's centre partner and given Hall a well earned week off.
It seems to me a contrived move to get Webb established back at FB for the run up to Wembley.

Ok clarification, no choice given the 19 man squad announced (which doesn't include Keinhorst which is why I didn't either), so sorry for picking a team from the guys listed for the game, how wrong of me. If you read my 2nd post I actually said I think it's a good game for Keinhorst, however I do disagree with the idea of giving him and Chisholm their debuts together on the same side of the pitch, the word UNNECESSARY again springs to mind. As for contrived moves I don't believe it was McDermott who injured Delaney's thumb or Ablett's hamstring which has led to the likely reintroduction of Webb at FB.

| Hang on, wingers are the last in the team who need resting. If anyone is going to be rested it should be Peacock or Leuluai or at least a forward.
With Ablett out and Delaney currently in for an MOT I'd go with:
1. Webb
2. Jones-Bishop
3. Watkins
4. Hardaker
5. Hall
6. Sinfield
7. Ward
8. Leuluai
9. Burrow
10. Griffin
11. JJB
12. Clarkson
13. Bailey
14. Lunt
15. Moore
16. Kirke
17. Hauraki
I'm loathe to move Hardaker away from full back but needs must with Ablett out and Delaney apparently doubtful, plus a rest to Delaney and Peacock can't do any harm.

I think most on here would agree. Hardaker has introduced a new concept to a Leeds Full Backs play and that is an ability to tackle when a player has broken the line. He made a couple in the Semi that had Webb been @ FB instead of him would have been certain Wigan Tries.

Glad you're not the Leeds coach. Hardaker should [unot[/u be displaced from FB.......and Ward should not be used as jack of all trades, this time at SH. If a place cannot be found for him at SO or LF then he should start on the bench as somebody to come on as a game changer in one of those two pivot positions.

I'd rather have a doubtful Delaney at centre than a fully-fit Webb at fullback. A week off for Peacock, a chance for Hauraki.

I'm absolutely bloody delighted that you're not.
I said I'm loathe to move him, but we have Ablett out and Delaney doubtful. If Delaney isn't fully fit, who do you suggest plays at centre?
As for Ward, there's sod all difference between stand off and scrum half. Quite how you have the nerve to suggest I'm using him as a jack of all trades and then you say he should play either stand off, loose forward or off the bench I have no idea. If it makes you happy I could always name Sinfield at 7 and Ward at 6? It'd make no difference to how they play but hey whatever floats yer boat.

"Coaches" like you who insist on moving players around rather than giving youth a chance will hasten the death knell of SL. Tut tut. I suggest you read various posts from others as to who might be a choice at LC for this game.
As for scrum half being no different to stand off I look forward to seeing Greg Ingliss at SH.
You know sometimes it's simply better to admit when you're wrong.

| Scrum halves and stand offs are generally the same in RL unlike in Union!! Burrow and McGuire had the same role at leeds for years, 1 played on the left one on the right! Sinny could be named at 6 or 7 and he would still do exactly the same job. The role played by a 6 or 7 is defined by the skills the player has. Now mcguire is named as a 7 but he is playing virtually the same role as if he was named at 6!!
People get obsessed by the number on a players back or where he is named on a team sheet rather than looking what he does on the pitch.

| To be honest, my gut feeling is that injuries or not Mac would put Webb straight back in the side and Hardaker back to centre despite it being blantantly obvious he is a full back. The injury situation has made this easy for him all round.
I personally dont have a problem with this.Webby is still a great player when he wants to turn it on and i cant remember him ever letting us down in big games. We have his services for a few more months so lets get the best out of him.I hope Zaks emergence as a rival cuts out his lathargic attitude to some games though.

Yeah, on this thread everyone has suggested either Delaney or Hardaker for centre. You know why? Because they're in the 19 man squad announced. In what way would leaving out a 34 year old and a 26 year old be restricting youth chances? You want to know why I didn't pick Keinhorst or Chisholm? Well Keinhorst isn't ready to be thrown in at centre and Chisholm is a winger, there isn't a space on the wing, unless you advocate dropping Hall or Jones-Bishop. But the biggest reason I didnt pick either of them is THEY'RE NOT IN THE SQUAD!!! So I'll say it again, who do you suggest plays centre if Ablett is out and Delaney not fully fit?
As for Inglis, that's a stupid comparison and you know it. I see Danny McGuire has really struggled with the transition from stand off to scrum half. Let's put it this way, if Sinfield were named at 7 and McGuire at 6 would they play any differently than currently?

| TBH I don't want Hardaker to be moved from FB but if we've got key players out in positions he could play in and we've got a fit Webb then maybe we should?
Although my biggest worry would be that BM would then keep Webb at FB for the foresable future.
Hardaker has been a revelation a FB!
