He was the gamebreaker this week in a very good team performance, and fully deserved the Harry Sunderland trophy.
There were plenty of people who thought he'd been poor for 18 months (they were right) and that he was a busted flush (they were wrong). There's no "shame" in getting something wrong and correcting your opinion as the evidence changes, so I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve with this thread. I was certainly one of those people but I'm very happy to have been wrong.

| I think burrow has improved and this has coincided with McDermott playing him off the bench. And fair play to mac for spotting that. He seems to have more of the old spark back coming from the bench without having to organise the team.
Brilliant try. Always liked the Donald try from 07 but burrow has produced some magic tonight

Don't know what he'll be happier with. Leeds winning or Buderus not getting the Harry Sunderland.

| I did as a play making 7 and I stand by that. Out of dummy half though he has been like a different player and I have praised him on a number of times the 2nd half of this season. Surely a cert for the 4N as a 2nd rake?

I have no problem at all with people "debating" players form but some (only a few) wanted Burrow gone without any consideration for a proven title winning player over a sustained period of time, that said some people have wanted Sinfield and Peacock out before now.

Wholeheartedly agree with all of this Ferdy
Some of us did suggest the same ...Burrow off the bench as dummy half runner....some time before McDermott

| The first try was superb, I haven't seen anyone duck under a tackle like that since Parry Gordon retired, but the one he made for Ryan Hall was even better. Burrow won last weeks game for you and he did the same tonight. You owe him a real debt of gratitude.

| Matchwinning plays from burrow. Amazing performance.
You can't articulate the ecstasy felt when he dummied through the defence and put hall over in the corner.

Great play like that at crucial times in big games creates emotions that no other sport can match. RL at its best.

| Ist player to win the Harry Sunderland twice (during the SL Era Grand Finals)
1st player to win the Harry Sunderland from the bench (during the SL Era Grand Finals)
Having for me lost most of his impact when starting he's had a new lease of life being introduced from the bench.
Tonight simply superb and apparently a unanimous choice amongst the journalists for the Harry Sunderland - and again that's another unique achievement - according to SKY.
__________
I would doubt he'll receive a call up to play the same role for England though as IMO Roby should be given the full eighty at hooker and the starting scrum-half needs to be left to do likewise without introducing confusion.

His amazing pace is devastating once he breaks the line...and his technique of ducking under the tackles to break the line is once more apparently paying rich dividends. From the bench he is more fresh than the tiring forwards; running at defences rather than organising is very much his game.
Again...well done Robbie. You deserve the accolades. An exciting player to watch.

| I have always thought the Scotty D 07 was the best try i'd ever witnessed at a final but this just shades it now.
Outstanding and his composure to put Hall over cemented the 100% Harry Sunderland vote imo.

| as many may no I have always supported Robby and thought alot of the critism was not warranted. Goes to show when the forwards get a roll on it makes room for the little uns to shine. great player, little statue but massive heart and that move for Halls try well must go down as one of the best.

| Well deserved MOM. I felt both his try and the one he made for Hall were equally superb and both came at key times in the game. The coaches good tactic of keeping him fresh on the bench has been crucial in recent weeks.

| i wanted him gone as a starting scrum half start of season he couldn't break the line and for his experience took the wrong option too many times
fully deserved m.o.m and been great off the bench and has worked even better as sub scrum half leaving buderus on. long may he continue.
as with hardaker at centre neccessity may have been the mother of invention
