| All the performances since wembley are really encouraging. I am biased clearly however I can't ever remember a team finishing fifth having as gooder chance as us in actually being champions.
Wire fans may not be too bothered by us given our recent record against them however we're due a result against them aren't we?! Assuming they pick us!
The odds are still against us however surely we are now a realistic and cracking outside bet?!
Alot of us have suspected this and have been QUIETLY confident, including me.
However...... I BELIEVE!! Come on Rhinos!!!!! 80 mins to old Trafford and we are in better shape than last year (I.e form and we have peacock & McGuire!)

| If we play like we did tonight we'll get pummelled by either Wire or Saints.

| Our best bet is for catalans to win and warrington to club call them. We'd then be playing saints.
Saints record of appearing in consecutive grand finals has to come to an end sometime and warrington are a better team, though we have a poor record against both.

| For 55 or 60 mins we battered Huddersfield tonight and that was way closer than it should have been, but if we fail to close people down as we did at the end it will be a painful end to the campaign next week no matter who we play. You simply have to put in 80 minute performances against whoever you play at this stage, and tonight we didnt and very nearly paid the price. That should be a massive lesson learned for next week. We are good enough, as our defensive effort in the first half proved, but next week will be another step up in intensity again, and at this moment, I reckon we are still rank underdogs alongside the Dragons.

| I agree mossdale, however I'm being positive tonight!! It's better to learn tonight and win closely as opposed to not learning and Losing next week!!!! My point is; maybe a closely fought victory is better for us in the long run as opposed to an easy victory concluded after 65mins.... Winning yet being disappointed with defence is a good mentality!

I absolutely agree, and that just shows the determination and spirit that is present in the squad to prove people wrong. A win with plenty to work on for next week is just the right prep to meet either Wire or Saints next weekend, and I do think that the players actually believe now that another Grand Final is on for them, so as you say why not?

| Saints and Warrington will murder us if we give them half as much space as we did Huddersfield tonight, we need to tighten up our defence. Going up in attack, I think we are fine, but its just the defensive side, we give away too many errors and too many silly penalties. Ablett and Watkins back next week aswell, selection dilemma for Mac.

| That's right George, a pig-headed attitude to stare facts straight in the face will see us through! Bahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

| Drop Webb (ha can't catch or pass backwards) and play BJB at Fullback, then Hardaker on the wing with Watkins and Ablett in the Centres and Delaney back into the second row with JJB.

| Sometimes its better to travel hopefully rather than actually arrive at your destination. Our end of season form is a vast improvement on what was on offer earlier, and whilst great to watch, I think we are still a little bit off the pace to be confident of a Grand Final win.
A Grand Final appearance may possibly be our best bet, and one that looked a million miles away mid season.

| The hard truth is that to get to Old Trafford, we are going to have to do something that we have not managed thus far this year, which is put in a massive 80 minute performance against either Wire or Saints away from home. If we concentrate for 80 minutes and dont drop off like we did at the end last night, it is possible, but anything short of that level of performance and we'll probably end up disappointed. Our best bet would be, as has probably been already mentioned, a Catalan win at Wigan, which could well see us at Saints rather than Wire, (their choice permitting of course!), but even a trip away to a young St Helens side, would still need the massive effort mentioned above!

| The +'s far out weigh the -'s imo but as has been posted we need a complete 80 minutes performance to compete with Wire and ST's.
What i will add is we know we can play better and are still only 80minutes away from O/T which is a huge improvement on our early season form and inept efforts against the top 4 prior to the CC.
I think Wire are too strong but i do honestly think we can take Wigan or ST's so the key is the Dragons beating the Pies and we end up at the scousers.

| Brown's chokers choked. Obviously.
Now down to the real business.
However it pans out I would love another crack at Wigan.
