| I noticed your favourite Rhinos player contemplating the feigning of a serious injury again.
At one point, I thought he was going to ask for his stretcher.

| I had Buderus as clear MOTM, with mentions for Ablett, Ali, JP and TMFMISL. Wasn't considering Burrow to be honest, not that I thought he had a bad game, mind.

| I had Ablett as clear MOM. His work rate was phenomenal. Burrow must have collected more MOM awards than any other player this year. I am yet to see McGuire do anything to deserve the 7 slot ahead of him.

| As a neutral enjoyed your second half performance and agree that it was Burrow who changed the game with his running from dummy half.
Deseved his man of the match.

Agreed - I haven't also seen anything that justifys Sinfield playing 6 - we should get back to what we had of McGuire, Burrow and Sinfield at 6,7 & 13.
Defending Burrow and McGuire together on one side is asking for trouble.

Like he did at Wigan - or was the knee reconstruction a figment of his imagination?
Still had enough awareness to get the ball out for an assist

Said that to mate of mine who is a Hull fan, if they had any sense they would have put Manu down their right towards McGuire and Burrow.

| Burrow was 1st class. Sweeped across the line with purpsoe. Was helped out from the pack men with plenty of great dummy run lines.

| Enjoyed Ray French's quality observation, 'Burrow's at hooker now' as if he'd played anywhere else but dummy half to that point in the game.
Burrow's impact from the bench justified Coach McDermott's decision. Like Sal though I worry to see him and McGuire defending together on the left and feel Leeds will have to make an adjustment if they are going to persist with his new role.

| I thought Burrow made a huge difference. He did so as a 9 rather than a 7, as far as such things are relevant in the modern game.
Defensively I didn't think we looked any weaker on that flank with Burrow on than we did before. We looked very vulnerable in defence, and I couldn't help feeling that a better team than Hull would have taken more advantage.
I was also impressed with the progress BJB is making. Not the finished article yet, but certainly developing very nicely indeed. Seems to have good balance when he runs with the ball.

There is no reason why he can't be on the other side in the defensive line like he would be at half back. It would IMO be preferable to have one of sinfield/clarkson defending in the DH position when burrow is on and Buderus is off.
Either way I thought our defensive line was not going forward and allowed Hull to make easy yards. They seemed to be backing off much of the time. Especially out wide.

| Well as he played against Hull, every time Burrow has been an interchange 9 against one of the better clubs (top 5) we have been absolutely steamrollered while he has been on. He has good defence for a man his size but is simply not capable of playing as a defensive hooker against a well-coached club, and if you hide your hooker in fringe defence it pulls the rest of the team out of shape.
Now he's showing some form, he should be played at 7. That way we won't have to play our most successful ever stand-off at scrum-half and our most successful ever loose-forward at stand-off. If Buderus can't do the full 80 then we also have a perfectly decent interchange hooker in Paul McShane, who was playing very well earlier in the season until, like Luke Burgess, he fell out with our coach and the subsequent shunning of McShane has led to playing 3 central players out-of-position, which, has I've said, as proved fine against Hull, not so great against Saints or Wire.

You'd have to go a long way to see a more natural winger's finish than the one he produced for his opening try. (To think Leeds once had a player who made a record number of starts in that very position who wasn't remotely capable of such a quality finish.)

Would actually seriously agree with all of this.
However, I would still give Hardaker a run at SO in a couple of the remaining league fixtures.
The club will recognise the CC is the only chance of silverware this season so will probably want to increase the chances of preserving the fitness of the likes of McGuire ( and Peacock ) for the CC matches anyway.
Bring on the SL kids

Indeed it was sublime....the only better I can recall recently was Blanchflower's effort for the Cats.
