to me that just reads as Noble is jobless at the end of the season maybe and Celtic will be coachless maybe. They have put 1 + 1 together IMO.

Well the Australian media heard that Noble could be going to the NRL (Roosters), so they panicked and created this article to deflect any more attention from the cartoon chauffeur himself.

I suspect that if he'd been given what he wanted from Day 1, Noble would have turned Wigan into a major force and title winning team.
The management at Wigan have failed him miserabley. We tend to bad mouth people too easily in sport, he is the best British coach we've produced in a long time. He's suffered because of his time in charge of GB IMO. That's harsh, considering the last winning coach we had was in 1972.

I disagree he inherited a great side from Elliott that most coaches would have been able to win a championship with - as soon as it began to break up he was incapable of building another - right place at the right and nothing he has done since suggests anything else IMO

The chance to buy more overseas players?
The chance to off-load the likes of Tomkins jnr to Huddersfield?

Nothing compared to the clearout of good young players before he arrived.

The clubs management of finances and the cap over the last few years - some of those before he arrived, some after - has not done him any favours. He was a very frustrated man after the playoff defeat against us last year.

I'm just sometimes surprised at how much stick he gets and how little credit goes to a guy who's won so much as a coach. It's baloney to suggest anyone could coach the team he was left with when Elliot left.

Bulls only title prior to Noble arriving in '01 was '97. Elliot inherited a team from Smith that won the title pre-GF days. They were dissapointing for most of the time he was in charge after that. Noble then took them to 5 straight GF's, and when he left they were Champions.

Elliott coached them to the SL championship in 1997 - there was no GF then - and to the League leaders shield in 1999 where they lost to a very dubious decision on a knock on.

Don't forget that they broke the salary cap to win the competition in 2005 - also a test of good coach is what state did he leave the club - would you say Bradford were in better shape after Noble left or worse shape?

Now when you start talking about knock on's and salary cap, I know you are clutching.

When Noble left they were Champions, for the third time with him in charge. They had gone 3 years prior to him joining without an SL title. What McBanana has accomplished since then is a reflection of how awful a coach he is and how awful the Bulls Directors have run the club.

Noble demonstrated once again today what a great coach he is no wonder Wigan want him out.

He reached the CC semi, something beyond "Leeds Greatest EVER coach" this year.

He was unlucky to come up against the real Leeds greatest ever coach.

My major criticism of Noble is he is somewhat one dimensional....he relies purely on the forwards providing a dominant platform from which the play makers can then perform.

As for today, a superb game plan from Smith. Warrington were perfectly prepared in the first half for the introduction of Feka and Fielden, instead of giving Wigan momentum Warrington went after them mercillesly and it turned the game their way.

Yes that what is worrying me. Noble seemed to come up with a defensive plan that nulified our attack options helped hugely it must be said by the strange rotation of our dominant AHB

I am clinging to the belief that Bluey is keeping is powder dry tactically.

The two competitions are of an entirely different structure obviously and so we have to expect a different coaching approach.

TS got his knock out game plan bang on today whereas Nobby seemed stuck in the marathon championship groove.
