where did everyone stay in Edinburgh for Magic weekend?? need somewhere reasonably priced as theres 5 of us needing 2 rooms. went this year but on a package and want to see if we can do it cheaper ourselves, thanks

Went up on the day, perfectly possible to do it without staying over.

yep we went sunday and came back monday....fancied the whole weekend though next time if we can get decent priced accom!!

I stayed in Dunfermline.

What a place.

Had a couple of cracking nights out there when docked in rosyth!!

stayed at joppa turretts B & B.£30 a night,great couple who run it. it's right on a bus route and only 10 mins out of the centre. we have already booked for next year.only 5 rooms so get in early.

We booked th day we came back the premier inn but i know that lots of the rooms in Edinburgh had already gone.

we stayed at the McDonald Holyrood which was perfectly pleasant. £90 0n lastminute.com

I stopped at a real nic place in john o'groats, you gotta get in there, only a short walk to the stadium too!

We stayed in the city centre at the ramada, great room overlooking the castle and the nor loch, deffo worth a shout.

We stayed in a nice B&B in Leith.

And yes, there was Sunshine on it.

Holiday Inn Express at Leith - bus to the city centre leaves right outside the door every ten minutes, £1.20 for a quarter hour ride.

Indeed, I'll be doing it for several days over the Fringe Festival in a couple of weeks time.
