| Something like 22 wins out of 30+ (someone help us here) games is a pretty impressive record. But god help them come St Helens next week because If I can remember Wigan went on a losing streak after beating Leeds last season.
For Leeds it was the same old last minute heroic stuff just not in the last minute this time along with silly penalties. Thankfully we’ll be in the top two in the competition by the end of the year. This is only because of the standard of the competition. This standard has allowed both Leeds and St Helens to become so complacent we lost against Salford of all teams!
This was nothing more than another complacent performance by Leeds capitalised by Brian Noble and well done to him
PS - If any Wigan (worse than Rhinos fans for moaning BTW) come on this thread then I want you to apologise for every silly comment you’ve thrown at him over the years. The last two years he’s bough you within one game of the grand final. You all need to stop judging this current team on the team of the 80s because your missing the present great Wigan team by doing this coached by the best British coach we have in the game.

| If Hudds defeat Catalans this weekend they will be just 2 points behind you.
Any further wobbles by Leeds and you could end up 3rd

Leeds have been wobbling for a while now but winning games. Unfortunately we came against a Wigan side that recognised the Leeds side for what it was (mid season takers) and used it to their full advantage.
Wigan have beaten both Leeds and St Helens now in games that don’t matter. But still reside low in the play off places and will not make the top three this year.

rubbish! nobles record includes when the bulls were dominant and we were rubbish. i would hazard a guess that over the last four seasons it is about 50%. we should have been 20 points up at half time last time, we hammered them in the first half. fair play to them for a great second half but it wasn't as one sided as the sky muppets would have you believe

| Final post [url=http://viewtopic.php?t=341569&start=255here[/url, obviously different now after last night but a reasonable comparison anticipating what Sky's agenda on the night would be.
And that wasn't difficult to predict as it's all they ever go on about when Noble faces Leeds.

Leeds had a fantastic first half I’ll agree. But it’s a game for 80 minutes and unfortunately Wigan were the better side for that full 80. The Amos Roberts tackle on Danny McGuire is as good as the one put on him by Darren Albert all them years ago - a try saver.
The sky muppets need outing. Even a mate of a mate who doesn’t like rugby league that much could see through the lies of the sky sports team who are surely trying to dumb down the audience.
Also Bulls dominant or not its still a fantastic record.

You were spot on about the get out of jail card expiring. I had the same thoughts myself. We are conceding so many points at the moment it only needed a determined defensive effort from a team to had us a beating.

| You have to question our tactics. We had a good first 20 minutes but our completion rate was awful and we fluffed several scoring opportunities. Then in the second half we just trundled up the middle with no pace or angled runs whereas the Wigan pack made twice the yardage and looked faster and fitter. In the end we seemed glad to keep the score down giving away petty fouls for messing about at the ruck.
Apart from the McGuire try and a few runs from Burrow our half backs were dissappointing. With both Senior and Sinfield having a rare off day (was he fit?) we needed our half backs to step up with the creativity.
Returning to the tactics issue, our coach seems to think we can out muscle the other packs every week and a lack of a Plan B when this doesn't work is worrying. Also why didn't we use all our subs? If Worral was not experienced enough (as McClennan said after the game) why pick him in the first place for such an important game.
To be fair to Wigan, missing so many regulars, they were better motivated and were by far the better side in every department. We will need to improve for Warrington where Smith will have a Plan A, B & C ready.
