Is Brian McClennan just Daryll Powell except uglier and without hair?

Powell used to spout about positives, no matter how bad we played. And what did he win? "Yeah, we've lost 90-0 but the positive is that we didn't concede the hundred".

Now we've got McClennan bleating about it and he's even got the players doing it.

So, we dropped a lot of ball, we made silly, pointless offloads that cost us possession, and let Cas back into the game. But it doesn't matter because that's not a positive. The positive is that our spirit was good.

This pathetic mentality just doesn't work, which is why our discipline seems to be getting worse, our error rate isn't improving and we just aren't playing all that well. How can we improve when we don't address what we're doing wrong?

Would Daniel Anderson ever spout such utter tripe? Would Tony Smith or Brian Noble?

In either case, the article clearly states that they're gutted to have to have these weeks off, but do you imagine that doing an Eeyore and moping about in a thistle patch about it will help? Does the article, in fact, not say that there are problems to be addressed and that these breaks are an opportunity to do so?

My advice would be to lay off the gin, it can make some people depressed, as well as incoherent.

As far as I’m concerned 3rd in the table and not far behind first is not bad at this time of the season. I’d rather have a positive focused team than a negative focus team.

Nothing concrete I'm afraid. I know I did see them both in the same place at the same time once, but I realise from your point of view that must sound like idle hearsay.

That said, a mate of mine goes to the same hooker as Senior's 2nd cousin twice removed on the family dog's side, and she said that she'd heard they weren't the same person.

Now that I've had a look it was Rob Ackerman's debut as well as David Young's. (We won't see them days again.) Ackerman stayed just over a year around the first team making 13 + 1 appearances and scoring 4 tries in total. David Young was around the same length of time while only making 6 + 2 appearances and never troubling the scoreboard operator. What a waste of a sign on fee.

I don't remember that about Heugh. The Australian with all the kids that I recall was Steve 'Slippery' Morris who had five (or at least he had when he arrived at Leeds.) Two of them (Brett and Josh) are now playing in the NRL.
