Is there still a rivalry between the two clubs?
Less than two days away now to one of two games between the two sides this season and theres no banter or anything on here or anywhere that i have seen that would suggest that the word rivalry could be used.
Or is it that Leeds and Bradford supporters think a Leeds win is near enough guaranteed that they are just not bothered.

Super League killed any rivalry when they made us play each other 57 times a season.

The anticipation level's are certainly down imo.
The bulls fans couldn't be any more down than they already are so they aren't gonna really be drumming up "banter".
As for the rhino's the fans most are still gutted about the cup match and the "post mortem" debate is still ongoing!!

Ask that again about quarter to ten Friday night.

I think a lot of Rhinos fans are going in to the game just expecting to have to turn up and waltz it, that's why the anticipation is low.

And that's the worst percentage Leeds have V anyone (UK) in the SL Era.

That put a little grin on my face, but then I thought $hit Leeds will be doing better in points for and against after this match.

Never was any rivalry with Bradford in my eyes. Not historically anyway.

My personal view is that the rivalry was at its most intense when they regularly beat us, the five times in one season almost reached hate status for me.

Oh yes, us Rhinos fans must never forget the many beatings we have suffered at the hands of the Bulls in their pomp.. the shoe is on the other foot now thanfully but we must never get complacent....

I feel there is rivalry between the two sides.
But then again I work in Bradford and used to get Bullmania rammed down my throat years ago.
It has given me great pleasure driving round Bradford with my Leeds colours on show this past couple of years.
Having said all that I am sure there could be a sting in the tail this Friday.

There's a limit to how much Leeds humiliation I'm prepared to put out there. Their record five years ago fell so far below the minimum threshold it was off the bottom of the page.

My perception is that Leeds are seen as a big club in Yorkshire, regardless of on-field performances and success, due to city size, club wealth, club history etc. Leeds have a rivalry with another Yorkshire side, ideally West Yorkshire, that is doing well. In the few years prior to Super League that was often Castleford, further back it was Wakefield. The old Boxing Day derby against one of these two was our biggest derby of the season. In the Super League, the most successful Yorkshire side has been Bradford, hence the rivalry between the two. As it is, since 2005 Bradford have been in decline and are not a force in the game at present. As a Leeds fan, I still enjoy Bradford losing but I do feel the edge has gone off the rivalry between the two clubs.

That's the way it is.

Leeds are simply way too big to be limited to just the one West Yorkshire rival that never changes. Heck sometimes they have to resort to finding a club outside of West Yorkshire altogether to fill in.
